You're probably jivin' with me!!!!! Again, all in shady areas for most of the day. That's EXACTLY what they look like. No holes for spiders that I could see.

I’ve seen that stuff on my yard too. You sure it’s not spiders?

Could your area be infested with cosplayers?

They can get pretty nasty if they aren't cleared promptly.

That picture is of the fungus, so, as you can see, it does LOOK like spider webs, could be spider webs, but probably aren't spider webs, but a fungus. The ones that look very similar ARE spider webs and have little holes where the spiders hide under the web. Mine aren't like that, so am assuming it's a fungus. Thanks. :)

Fascinating. The ones I see in my yard are spiders. They have the hole/trapdoor where the spider lives.

Yep, and it seems like they BOTH like the damper grass in the shade. Gotta look hard for those holes. Don't know if the spiders can damage your lawn. Here, I found some ideas for you:
How to Get Rid of Grass Spiders in Your Yard and Home
Some sites say just sweep them off the grass and the spiders will leave. That link has a look at some ugly grass spiders...eewwwww.
Now to see how to get rid of the fungus. Won't have to call the owners if it's easy. My guy just mowed today and they are gone, but will do some research.

    Goodnight Snails....again....:)
