with the latest research coming from the cdc that might not mean much - keep the masks on wherever/whenever there is close contact.
I agree about masks and distancing, but vaccines mean VERY much. If you like, would you post what you feel or read about vaccines not meaning much. Vaccines are VITAL in keeping the virus in check, or if you get it, keeping it mild. Mask, distance vaccinate DO work and has been proven. We just need to get the anti vaxxers and others, for reasons of their own, to GET the vaccine. Then these variants have NO place to go and will die off.

Maybe so many would NOT have gotten sick at ALL, risking long term affects, IF they had masked and distanced, eh? :)

Show me the data that mask work? Fauci doesn't believe they work or does he? I guess it depends on which day of the week it is.:)

    How many people died? 0:)
so? while the percentage is small 1400 vaccinated people have died overall. more concerning, vaccinated people can carry the same virus load as the unvaccinated. are masks fail-proof - probably not but whatever can help with containment is worth the small effort.
time to get back to my yard work ;)

This is not the thread to get into this, Pepper, and I'm not taking your bait. I explained logically, you are talking rightie. Have at it and have a wonderful day..you can take this to the Outside if you wish. There are 2 covid threads out there.
But just to stop the spread of MISinformation anywhere and everywhere, here's your proof. Just a few is all I'll post. MASKING DID and DOES work...I explained Dr. Fauci, as you posted a very early 2020 video, then a more recent....it was an ever changing event NO ONE understood, then when the results came in, PROOF that masks work. Dr. Fauci will be the FIRST to tell you that.

Key word...."SMALL". Vaccinate, mask and distance will keep you safer than ANYTHING else. :)

To carry us into August it will be 48 tonight. August normally is the hottest month of summer for us.
It's 66 here now, but "they" promised it will be in the upper 70's today. August.

I hear they got snow in Brazil. Some people there have never seen snow in their life. First time in 64 years (so it DOES happen, rarely). Definite cold snap somehow.

I know. Too weird. It was so hot most of June. Crazy.
