I've seen this done in person before (semi-distant neighbors had horses when I was a kid). It's a real art.
I looked this up for fun and old-times memories. IIRC, dogs liked the scrap nips, although I'm pretty sure the vets won't recommend them (and IDK how to sanitize them).
