Is that unusual?
i have no idea - he's some kind of catfish, frannie. supposedly, an algae eater. so ironic though, i took him in from friends who were ready to just dispose of him because they were not willing to do the work on the tank for just one boring fish :facepalm: at the time i had the boy's fish from college .................

Common Pleco Lifespan
In pristine conditions, the typical Common Pleco lifespan is between 10 and 15 years! They have a longer life expectancy than most tropical fish, so be prepared for years of care.

As always, there’s no guarantee with any fish species when it comes to lifespan. The quality of care you provide will impact the fish’s overall health for better or worse.

    In pristine conditions, the typical Common Pleco lifespan is between 10 and 15 years! They have a longer life expectancy than most tropical fish, so be prepared for years of care.

    As always, there’s no guarantee with any fish species when it comes to lifespan. The quality of care you provide will impact the fish’s overall health for better or worse.

    and as goes the pleco so might that geoff! :laugh:

    Donkeys outlive most horses and are best matched with another donkey. Their average lifespan is over 27 years and they can often live up to 40 years.

    geoff is 30 now ;)
