flights to las vegas are way out of line for going to LV for my 60th birthday... especially with the traveling I have planned for this year.
Decided on Atlantic City but haven't decided on which casino hotel. Borgata is the highest rated and truly the best of them all, but it's on the bay and not the boardwalk. funny thing is it's the least expensive--some of that is because they still have record of me as a player even though I haven't been there since 2015 or any casino hotel since then.
I think I am going to go with Resorts. I can get a suite for a little more than a regular room at the Borgata--regular rooms at the Borgata are quite nice. I also like the raw bar and steakhouse at Resorts: raw oysters, clams, prime steak, and premium drinks. we'll see.

things are all screwed up with covid and oil prices. but it is crazy how the airlines work. it will cost less to fly to europe and back than philly to vegas and back.
but i'll keep checking because ya never know.
