thanks. I have looked at several in this price range and appear to be decent for the price; however, reading the reviews, this machine will fail within that 1-2 years. yes, it does a nice job for what it is, but it will fail, typically, in a year or 2. Which in the end, is probably okay. My brother has one that he bought probably 15 years ago and it works just as good as it did on the first day--and it's been used several times a day since. It's made out of cast iron. He paid $300 for it 15 years ago. I wonder what it cost now?

p.s. the funny thing is that I just paid for a room at the borgata casino hotel in AC on a Saturday night(and sunday) that costs more than a top conical burr would cost. Priorities, people.

if you take a closer look there's plenty of users who had no problems over the years maybe it's a matter of maintenance? regular cleaning might not be on everybody's to-do list

Burr! We’re back in the low 30’s

had to go to starbucks this morning to get more freshly ground espresso coffee. I ran out. It's so good when it's freshly ground. I haven't been able to convince myself to spend $300 for a nice conical burr grinder. It's probably all psychological, but I can't seem to get over paying $200 to $300 for a grinder.
