Somebody is searching for a word here...

"Person X" has not bought a brand new car in 14 years. But,
"Person X" decided to go against the flow and order one.
Expected delivery date of 22apr22.

"Person X" receives a mailing from "The Town" that the road
is going to be fully replaced. That means down to the underlying
native dirt, base layers of stone and gravel, and then re-paved
this construction season. Which has not been done in at least 20
years.

So... what is the word which describes this sequence of events?

Keep in mind: brand new car with virgin CUSTOM ORDERED
paint job (ie: not a standard available color, therefore extra $$$
pretty much like "Person X's" current vehicle... just saying),
milling of road (stones, gravel, schmutz) and fresh asphalt
(tar, sticky bits, errant chunks).

It's a "confluence" of some sort, but "Person X" is thinking in more
graphic terminology. Graphic enough to earn an ECF vacation.

What would be YOUR word for this?

Karma (no offense, just in the category, not a judgement on my part)?
    Convergence?
Murphy's law (If anything can go wrong, it will)?
    Sod's law?
