Hi snails. Home from the store.
Bought ham and sides for Easter dinner, and a small real Polish Kielbasa roll/ring for Sunday breakfast (don't ask, it's kind of a tradition with scrambled eggs and toast, although I prefer the Italian, they didn't have any).
The world has changed a lot. The Easter candy pickings were pretty slim. In the "good 'ole days" they used to have a wall dedicated to Easter stuff for the kiddies AND adults. Sigh, but I'm grateful for what was there, to be sure.
Ham was 85 cents per pound for a spiral sliced foil-covered ham...you know the type. Got one for $9.xx, a good deal! Combined with mashed potatoes and rolls and veggies. Will be a good dinner, probably on Saturday. GF and I are going out on Sunday, we have reservations.
