3,361 extrapolated miles per YEAR on new car.
I'm running it ragged!
$206 on "stuff" beyond gas and cost of car.
I keep track of all that crap. Numbers

I didn't do a running total (non-gas) thing with the
previous car, but I do have every receipt for those
14 years. Whatta pile! I think I'd be nauseated to
know the answer.
Gas was $12,791 for all that time. That's $2.55 a
day, FYI, gas alone. (So far it's $2.15 a day with
the new vehicle.)
See what I mean?

I have no idea what I’m doing now but it’s not much since I go to town maybe once in two weeks and no where else. About an 18 mile round trip.Yes. 9.2 miles a day SO FAR.

Cloudy aquarium.
Been battling this for a couple/few months now. Water changes,
filter media changes. Good for a few days, then goes all murky
again. Replaced "decorations"... vacuumed the gravel. Started
using "Algae Fix" and "Accu-Clear", but don't like all those extra
chemicals. I did another water change yesterday, down to about
2" from the gravel... about 90%.
I'm thinking a complete cleaning and changing of substrate...
which means setting up a whole temporary tank in the meantime.
Whatta pain... and I know from doing it before.
Any words of wisdom?

I hate the aquarium and warn everybody to just NOT get one.
Some have said to just let all the fish die and then be rid of it.

not really, bear - no more aquarium here. lost the last fish 2 or 3 months ago. not sure what happened but i found him on the floor next to the tank. i'm still puzzled how he managed - 95% of the top was covered by lights and a hood

Reminds me of way way way back... when I was still
living at home with parents. WAY way way back. I mean
it. Early '70s??? A goldfish was stepped on by me... and
my Mon crunched a hermit crab. And made ME clean it up.
In BOTH cases, there was a cover.

well, while it bothered me to lose the fish that way, in a way it was a relief. i thought that guy would live forever - i took him in from a friend years ago and i believe he was easy 15 years old
