    trying to sort out my brother ;) apparently, his bank card won't work in canada and his one credit card might be 0ver the limit by the time it's done. can't believe there's a best western with a nightly rate of $400. must be because they're the official quarantine hotel in vancouver :?:

    it's a mess! it cost him dearly to get some more of his blood-thinning meds. but there i put the blame on him. apparently he packed just enough for the trip :(
    and here i thought canada's meds were affordable :facepalm:

    I’d be afraid of cruise ships with Covid still active.
    me too, frannie! but they had booked that alaska cruise almost 2 years ago and thought it might work. everybody got tested before embarking and vaccinations were required. still, a good amount of people got sick according to my brother

    Guess you have to be Canadian for that to be so.

    Suggestion(s), please...

    I just finished going through 7 SCREENS of advance
    e-CheckIn for a specialist visit tomorrow. Personal
    info, insurance, meds, allergies, pre-paying the
    co-pay etc etc etc.

    If tomorrow is anything like the last 3 years, the
    "receptionist" will ask ALL of those questions ALL
    OVER AGAIN and ask for my credit card and ask to
    SEE all insurance cards.

    I really do not NEED that at before-8am.

    Suggestion: How do I tell her/him to piss off... I
    already did all of that?
    SEE?... here is the QR code
    that you asked me to PRINT AND SCAN (flapping
    paper in their face) upon arrival. AFTER I already
    answered all your freaking questions.

    And the technician will ask about each and every
    med or supplement... ONE by ONE... which I
    ALREADY answered during the advance e-CheckIn.

    Why do they OFFER e-CheckIn when it means NOTHING?
    There is NO time saving at all. Everything is asked all
    over again.

    It's exactly like the local gas and electric company... I
    send in my meter reads EVERY MONTH, but they STILL
    have an actual human being come to the house to read
    the meters! They beg for image files, phone-in,
    internet meter reads, but REAL PEOPLE STILL show up
    to do the reads!!!

    Grrr!

    Ranting!!!

    Is anybody able to make sense out of these two examples
    of apparently wasted time??? MY time???

    YOUR time, if applicable?

    PS: Do not suggest I just calm down.
