BTW... I called the "report gas leak" number in
an effort to talk with a human.
Reporting gas leaks just goes to an automated
system, phone menu thing.
Makes me feel REALLY GOOD if there is an
actual emergency. No human contact.
The other option is to call 911, which - of
course - I would not do. Ambulance and
fire truck and cop cars responding.
But... the phone number puts people into
the phone system. Good stuff right there.

I will never understand the attraction to bullfighting. It's uber cruel and disgustingly sick. And to think the humans into that actually..."cheer". A statement unto itself.

It is a problem here with Rochester Gas and Electric.
For MONTHS. Maybe going on over a year.
People do not get <insert month here> bill.
Then - maybe - they get month+1 bill, but the
previous month is charged at the new rate (kwh,
therms) which is ALWAYS higher. You know,
inflation and covid and monkey pox and polio
and understaffing and all. (Did I forget anything?)
In addition, the bill is DOUBLED(plus) when it
comes time to pay. Right?... get it?
To carry on... SOME people skip two bills and get
one that is for 3 months. At the highest rates.
It's been in the news (TV, paper) here. And, finally,
I am involved.
This is a billing system which, for me, has been flawless
for a long long time. My database goes back to 1994.
So, yeah... I'm extremely cheesed off about it.
Not to mention the effect it will have on my worksheet/
database to estimate future bills. How do you account
for incompetence?
Call in with a gas leak and get put into a phone-web
while your home fills up with gas.

1) immediate problem with the car fixed (coolant bleeder port on heater line failed and leaked, then broke completely...now replaced along with a PCV valve because why not?)
