Starbucks putting OLIVE OIL in coffee.
Make me puke, really.
I don't drink coffee so I've had Starbucks coffee precisely ONCE, on a dare, with coworkers. Never bothered to go back. But I'm not their target consumer, I guess.
And even so they STILL ANNOY me. There's this commercial that runs every day lately on the "radio" stream at work. It's about how some nice lady paid for some other lady's coffee when she forgot her wallet. One of those "customer stories" commercials, right? So what's the point? I should go to Starbucks because why? Because they have nicer customers or something? I mean, did Starbucks say "Don't worry, we'll run a tab for you!" or even better "This one is on the house today, you're a good customer I recognize you." ???? NO. There's NO COMPELLING REASON to go to Starbucks over any other coffee place, they might have nice customers at other coffee places too!
Was it about how great the coffee tasted? Did they even sneak in a "and that made the Best Coffee I've Ever had, as it tasted even better making my day like that!"? Nope. Was it about the customer service? Nope. It was about some other customer being nice.
Dumb. Just dumb.
