GF had pasta alfredo with chicken, salad and bread sticks. But she didn't eat much except she did finish the bread. So I had the leftovers.

Good luck sun. Hope you get insurance. Sounds like FL with have to be "socialized" and have group state-run insurance. lol. That will make your governor flip.

That's what it is lol - Citizen's insurance. "Citizens Property Insurance Corporation was created in 2002 by the Florida state government to provide property insurance for home-owners who could not obtain insurance elsewhere. It is a government-owned, not for profit, insurer of last resort."
And that's where we are...last resort.... many Floridians have no choice of companies anymore as they are gone, gone, gone. At least my estimate is only $300 more than last year. With any bad storms they'll be adding assessments to make up the cost.

I'm sipping my last caffeine for the day. I get to have a chemical heart stress test tomorrow - yay me! It freaks me out to give someone else control over my body so not looking forward to this. At least my house is clean should they kill me.

The "laugh" was for irony, not your terrible situation. I'm glad you "only" got zinged another $300.
I guess the biggest factor is all the lawsuits, and "hand over your insurance to me, and I'll take care of it all" contractors. I suppose some LAWS and REGULATION would help in that regard...

I'm not as unsympathetic as I may come across. I mean, with just some quick googling, it looks to be a terrible mess. Best of luck to all.
