Different car? Or it was the water pump in this one.
Anyway, got it working for now. Not 100% sure, but in the 90's % that it's the hot/cold control knob potentiometer that's failing, so not a bad fix. Got it to work yesterday by pulling on it while turning and "scrubbing" the contacts. It's designed as a push on/off click button combined with a POT. I never thought to PULL on it as I turned it, but it seemed to "take". I have heat, for now, until it fails completely. Either all that, or, it's a failing actuator (motor + gear/levers) that controls the door for the hot/cold mix.
