why the dislike of squirrels? i feed mine and love watching them!
Those aren't digging under your house making noise and trouble like for CES. She probably likes them just fine if they'd stick to the trees.
I wonder if one of those ultrasonic-annoy-the-hell-out-of-them devices would work...they can't defeat it. Or scarecrow cats. Or cat pee. Or DOG PEE. Wonder if CES can source that?

I like watching them, and the dogs like chasing them. I just don't like listening to them gnaw on the underside of my house from the crawlspace.
Yeah, so dog pee makes no difference- they know when the dogs are in or out. And actually, neither does a powder made from wildcat pee. I wonder if an ultrasonic thingee under the house might work without bugging the beasties. I'd prefer not to kill them, but, i like having a floor.
If you're seriously worried about structural damage, rather than just annoyance, kill em. Now.

You may be able to back the lattice with some wire mesh that they won't chew through.

You could also try some copper mesh stuffed into the areas they are chewing ... they don't like the feel of the copper on their teeth!
completed the inside of the fence - outside should be easier, all the cross bars are on the inside
