Hmmm, last night Max was playing with a piece of "Puggle Gum" (a small piece of a rawhide bone) out in the hallway. Then he comes into the bedroom, jumps up on the bed and starts sniffing around. I look around and say to him, "I don't see it any where, you must have left it in the hallway." Whereupon he immediately jumps down, runs into the hallway and comes back with his Puggle Gum.

Yes hire it out Bear.

Yep.

I couldn't do it. Up to roof level fine on the ladder (feet even with roof edge). But how to dismount from a leaning piece of metal to a sloping surface??? Then what??? ...crawl on hands and knees up and over to where I need to be... with hammer and siding in hand???

Really attractive. Sell tickets.

Not to mention getting back ONTO the ladder.

Sigh.

But I guess we get smarter with age, huh?

I recall the guys (must have been 8 or 9 of them) when the roof was done in '05... all over it like gazelles. Did not bother me.

Whereas...

... the old lady-next-door's son comes over to clean her gutters and he's walking right over to the edge, leaning over pulling stuff out. I cannot watch that (despite his being quintessential "bear", woof!). I go in the house to avoid hearing his body hit the ground. (I do the gutters by moving the ladder - 8 feet at a time - all the way around the house.)

ETA:
Retrieving yellow pages, leafing to "handymen".

enough to drive you to smoking.:D
Not a chance....I have other toys to hold me over :D
*Note: Puggle Gum has usually been chewed on for a while and is wet, slimy and sticky. The usual response for anyone picking up a fresh piece of Puggle Gum is "Ewwwww!!!"

You got that right, I'm all too familiar
