About to get dressed and head outside to look for any damage. Don't see many limbs down or anything...
Shingles probably a bit worse for wear. I know there's a spot above the garage that needs work already.
Glad the tree didn't damage anything Mad.
Nice pooch tibs.
Glad DS is OK Fudgey.
Yesterday's system stayed completely north of of us yesterday. We had clouds and drizzle, but no rain. Turns out my yard guy is going to come today or tomorrow and mulch my leaves and move them around.
OK, so a few fairly small limbs down in front and back. Probably some shingles stressed, but I don't see any missing!
All siding in place and nothing went through a window...so all in all...a good day for us here. The neighborhood looks intact. I think the worst part missed us. We got a good soaking though. And we needed that. It's a good thing, albeit a bit too much all at once. More several-day-long slow soakers would be better.
i'm heading outside shortly to wash down door and window frames and the glass. no idea why i got mortar splatters all over
it's a mild day here - 60s already - and i should get this done before the cold air seeps in by later today!
OMG tibby. That stuff doesn't always come off! Get it cleaned pronto!
It's amazing the chemical reaction that cement goes through. One of the worlds most important inventions...like the wheel. But I digress. It sets up and is like glue. If the surface is smooth it will be easier, but I've seen that stuff stick to glass.......
I said that, didn't I??? But you should not be able to TASTE it. It's incidental. (And, as such... why even put it in there in the first place?... does it cause some kind of chemical reaction???)
