Gonna have to agree to disagree Atty about the "imaginary" part of "almost". i get what you're saying, don't agree with your interpretation, but don't really want to argue the semantics. ...
my point was that the grinning and waving by the other driver (whatever the motivation) worked to shift a ...... off response to one of laughter, thus my recommendation to behave like a grinning idiot while shopping.

Shopping is complete!! (well, except for the online e-gift cards that I'll do on Christmas Eve)
It really wasn't that bad...I went into the doors closest to the areas of the stores where I needed to go. I took my earphones and listened to Diane Schuur and Diana Krall. A little upbeat jazz probably helped
I wouldn't say it was painless, but I didn't want to stab anyone either

Don't suggest you EVER go shopping when:
A) Saturday before Christmas
B) There's a big scare of a pending ice storm hitting around sunset and lasting for the next day or two.
C) With GF who is stressed
D) It's a big chain store with groceries AND other stuff to buy for presents.
The lines were, IDK, up to 200 feet deep each and 30 registers all open running full tilt.
BBL after I zen out a bit.
It's an adventure.

B) There's a big scare of a pending ice storm hitting around sunset and lasting for the next day or two.
C) With GF who is stressed

It might be worth bringing along your own music, it helped me. I'm a linear shopper, though. I make up my mind and get the specific item on the list and get out fast Atty had a worse time of it than I did...my experience was more Zen than his (I find that to be ironic!

I'm going out for drinks tonight. I wonder if Pepper has made it all the way up here for pub drinking, maybe I'll see him at my local haunt??? He hasn't checked in today....
