So-K Fudgey...he was hibernating for a couple of days anyway. I'm sure he'll appreciate it when he wakes back up....
Gang: Does Norie want an all mechanical mod? If so, the VV or switchable voltage mods aren't it. Most of the all mech mods will have big fat buttons on the bottom...or wires inside if the big fat button is on the side. Not 100% sure on the wires though...could imagine one with side button but no wires if the button contacts could connect to the atomizer connector center pin and not short.
Anyway...any regulated mod or anything with smarts or even a MOSFET is not considered an all-mech mod.

Inexpensive mechanical mods - google 'sigelei mechanical mod'. Sigelei has about 19+ different mech mods.
Mech mods seem to come with a button on the bottom of the tube or on the bottom edge (like a GG).

as long as it takes 510 fluxomizers or that new Kanger ProTank. That thing is da bomb but it is rather heavy. Holds a TON of juice though! And bottom coil........just like I like em.
Jerry, that switch is NOT mechanical but at those cheap prices who cares? If the switch dies you buy a new one............assuming you can find a place that has them in stock. I got all excited and they are all out of stock!!!
ETA: I'm not sure if I need to be trying to remember how many times I click........is it off.........is it on.......I need something simple that just gives me 3.7 volts without all of the gyrations needed to get there. Ya ya I know........picky picky picky!!

Norie, if you want 3.7v, all you need to do with eGo T2 upgraded flat head is to set it once and you're done. I looked around a bit and found that the new head fits both the short and the long tubes. And they are available--maybe not the colors you want. Good Prophets carries them, and GotVapes. GP has better prices. Seems like everybody is out of the black tubes. And the batteries can be charged with an eGo charger--if you have a 510 to eGo adapter (GotVapes sells them).

Many of the electronics features can be ignored and they often have some short-circuit protection. Also a LED (light) to tell when they are working.
The "All-mech" ones don't have short protection or LEDs. They do have a big-fat-heavy button. The button WILL wear out and need to be replaced...so get a spare or two. Pay attention to how easy it is to replace/swap...particularly if you don't like it on the bottom of the mod (almost all are on the bottom due to mechanical design reasons).
You CAN add a fuse to them for short protection.

one thing for sure though, all mechanical mods need to be kept extra clean or you lose a good part of the power!

She could try an all-mech box mod (Reo?) Solves the button placement issue. Almost all those tube mods look like..........flashlights.........or worse. And many aren't vented well, IMO.
