My mother carries on the tradition and is the only one in the world that does it properly. You, however, may make a fair approximation with the following) :
Cut up (small dice)
Olives
Onion
Green Pepper (finer dice)
Sharp Cheddar Cheese (small cubes)
Add to cooked and cooled macaroni. Stir together with Miracle Whip Dressing.
salt and pepper to taste. Easy. Avoid too many olives and/or add some mayo...you want to avoid it getting too "zingy/sour/zippy"...but DON'T add sugar. Helps to coat everything with a little MW dressing and refrigerate for a while, then add more to make it creamy (but not a lot!). The resting/chilling helps the MW adhere.
Eat with Southern Fried Chicken and a side of applesauce, more veggies like a side of green beans optional. Yum.
