but not in this case - all the poor fellow stated was that batteries in ecig devices do not go off on their own! and everybody jumped down his throat! :D
remember, the thread was - dangers of leaving supplies in a hot car!

Tibs, I'm with Atty--I won't leave my batteries in a hot car on a dashboard. Overheating batteries is a bad idea.

I think one can lead to the other. For example, charging causes heat. Overheating to a certain point causes a reaction/venting. Charging a hot battery = bad idea.

Also heating them can cause the guts to ....have problems. So charging them or using them later can cause issues. I think. Not sure.

yup - leaving electronics in a hot car shortens their life span -

BTW, nobody jumped down the OP's throat--it's the two other posters who started the whole controversy by denying facts as they were presented to them. ;)

and since i have done it - there is no way anybody will use a pv left in a hot car! ;) at least not till you're able to touch it again!

In California, you can't leave anything in a car during the hottest months (July-October). Your plastic water bottles will leach God knows what, you lip balm will go rancid and your electronics will overheat. :D

Oh and don't worry about the llama. This isn't the first time I've seen this same thing happen with threads he's posting in, various subjects. He seems to thrive on it.

He better be careful. Our bird friend has moved on...
