So I was looking up the next episode of "Under the Dome". There's two more left, tomorrow and the following week. FOR THIS SEASON.
They've deviated so much at this point, and drug it out, there's now a 13 episode season two.
Sigh.
They would have done much better making it a 13 episode mini-series. But no. Drag it out. Viewership will drop off if there's no conclusion.
Sigh again.
So I have an idea.... You know SNL right? They could do that but MSGL...Mini-Series Group Live Where every week they'd have a group of regulars performing an episode of a mini-series LIVE. And the mini-series would be limited to say 8 episodes before they had to select a new one and move on.
Anyone from the main cast that didn't fit into the plot would be part of the extras. And the extras would include guests and such. The would be like an on-going play/plays with new stuff all the time. Could be classic stuff, but most likely new stuff. Real actors, real rehearsals, live performance and limited "dragging it out".
Or lose the "live" part. But it would still be a sit-com style or soap style. AKA filmed in a week. The settings and stories can change all the time. The people stay mostly the same.
