Kohl's seemed a tad pricey to me but after all the coupons and discounts it was OK.

I wait for a sale and then the % off. I got one for 30%

That's their gimmick. 30% off, 20% off, take and extra ___ % off. Almost always a sale. If there isn't one, don't shop there!
yep.
Wal-Mart's less hassle to get decent prices.

I will not buy clothes from walmart (I draw the line there) unless it's underwear or t-shirts for the gym. Kohl's usually has a decent level of quality clothing: below macy's, way above wally world. However, my favorite store is Nordstrom's and for obvious reasons my credit card only comes out a few times a year there.

These days i prefer just to shop online. less hassle. :)

I do that most of the time too, especially with companies that offer free return. I never thought I would buy running shoes online, but Richard's (it won't let me put the short form of Richard:facepalm:) sporting goods seems always to allow free return and includes the return postage with the package; it's like trying shoes on in the mail... plus the nearest ....'s (see:facepalm:) sporting goods is 30 miles away.:)

So, anyway...

...initial meeting with landscaper went well. Estimate came in well under my budget. I took a 3-hour (round trip) ride out to the hardscape business to look at material today. Treated myself to a QUAD-shot Starbuck latte for the ride home. I also thought of other tweaks to the project since there was $$$ to play with. I officially look forward to next April! :)

I'm glad you have some joy in your life Bear :D

I have LOTS of joy, CES!!!

But these folks on "Backgammon Live" who are way way up there in "experience" think they freaking OWN the game. It's wonderful to put them in their place. Granted, my win-loss ratio could use some improvement (it is greater than 1:1 though).

If you're on FB, come on over to:

Maybe we can play together!!!

i used to love neiman-marcus but had a serious fall-out with their online store and staying away now! ;) plenty of stores in raleigh .....

neiman-marcus is over priced clothing/accessories; however, what they do offer is exclusivity. While you may pay $400-800 for that shirt, you aren't going to run into someone with the same shirt. But I do like walking thru the store and browsing.

How are you doing Frau Tibby? Was today really, really tough on you?:p
