They're called transition lenses. Because the darkening feature doesn't work while you are inside/in your vehicle. ;)

Then you have those of us who are dang near blind and are told that with our prescriptions it'd be minutes between "transitions"

Off to look at prescription sunglasses. Talk about sticker shock. I wish I was shopping for windows... they would be cheaper. Because of my old age and having to have progressive lenses that option alone adds an additional $200. I'm looking at a price of between $600-800 for sunglasses.

Here's a picture of a couple frames I'm looking at. What do you think?

    Hi Birddog, welcome!

I have clip-ons and they don't work very well while running or playing sports. Also I can never find any that match the size of my glasses. Plus, when you go to the beach my glasses slide down on my nose and i'm constantly pushing them back up.but thanks for the suggestion, chris. :) Here's what I got and they only set me back $620:facepalm::

    Don't they look bad?:D

And now for some horrible news. This actually brought tears to my eyes... just devastating.

My neighbor next door pulled out of her driveway and was heading down our street when the neighbor 2 houses down opened her garage door and her little dog (it's a little toy dog) came running out onto the street... and yes, she hit and killed the poor little dog. Nancy, the dog's owner, was just devastated and laying in the street crying and cuddling her dog. Ann, my next door neighbor, was just as upset and shaking and crying.

As anyone who has a dog knows, they are like children. Nancy is a widow and this dog was her life. I just came back from Ann's house and cried with her a little and helped cheer her up. By the time I left she was able to smile and laugh some. She's a pretty strong gal.

On to happier subjects. Pepper's day at the mall. I visited my favorite store, Nordstrom. I usually walk out of this store empty handed, and today was no different. I saw a beautiful Robert Graham shirt that was just killer, but at $498... I took a pass.

Went to the Oakley store and Sunglass Hut to try on different pairs of sunglasses. Both sales associates, Katy & Bobbi (female), were awesome. They catered to my every need and did it with a smile. I joked and laughed with both ladies and even got into some fishing stories. How can you not like a lady who can stand there and smile/laugh with you about fishing stories? I'm really starting to believe in this Axe body gel, in particular, Dark Temptation... of course it could just be me.:D

The stomach started grumbling so I headed over to the food court...bad idea. It was 12:30 and apparently everyone else had the same idea. Again, I took a pass.

I then stopped in at the Microsoft store and muddled around. Didn't see anything I wanted or needed, so off I went into the sea of other shoppers walking around the mall. It was time to head off to my optometrist to get down to the business of getting some sunglasses... you already know the rest of the story.:)

lol - sounds just like one of glam's shopping excursions! ;)

not too much to report here except i once again realized why heated seats are a must when i go car-shopping! ;)
can't wait for the warmer temps to arrive by next week - way too early to get a chill! :D

comparing my shopping trip to glam's... I'm not sure how to take that.

Get over it, beautiful. It's winter time and it's only going to get colder...snow, freezing rain, ice, etc. Accept reality... if you can't, u will go crazy.;)
