Except by Jan here there's usually 2 feet of snow.
However, I was at the GF's place today. She has a service do the front yard because, well just because, and they do cleanup. In September or maybe it was early October. There's tons of oaks around.
She has to pay for that. Every year I end up raking out her front by the garage due to accumulated leaves. (unless I can somehow skip out of it ) but it's irritating.I've cut in December before due to this type of thing that Bear is ...discussing. The leaves kill the grass if you don't get rid of them or mulch them up. I'm with Tibby....mulching is a good thing. Very good. You'd have had 10 bags probably bear if those bags you have now are not mulched/cut first.

Bear. Dang it. Do NOT give 91 year old ladies anxiety. You're supposed to say (to yourself) "Gee, she's a 91 yo lady, glad she got some help. I'll end up picking up the rest after it gets to my yard. No biggie."
Or even better
"Gee, maybe I'll do her yard too. We could even split the cost of renting a gadget to pickup the leaves."

I move them to my garden areas. Lots of nice soil and lovely worms underneath.

You have no clue as to how MANY leaves I have - and I'd say 70%+ are from OTHER properties. They will stop the mower (8.75HP) repeatedly. And deep mulch is just as bad for the lawn as just leaving the leaves. I am on the inside of a large curve in the road, so the leaves blow here... and then just stay. They go no further. When it's windy, they just form little mini-tornados... and just drop straight back down.

You need a leaf dealing with type of gadget system thing. Many options.

Yeah yeah yeah, that's cool tibs. But in some locals there aren't any (ground won't support them, etc.) I wasn't saying the entire south doesn't have any. But mostly up here, they have them. Not always though.

Atty... she is just lousy WITH money... and by that I mean FILTHY RICH. If her "free" help cannot do it, then HIRE IT OUT!!! And, actually... she should pay them to do MY YARD, TOO as it's her forest that causes ME anxiety.
