I know people around where I live that think I'm crazy for even feeding a barn cat(some don't feed them). Shooooot...they get canned cat food in the mornings and dry(not cheap)cat food at night. And...they have a heated water bowl. I...I don't see how people can just not feed their barn cats. I know they're supposed to catch mice and rats but...mine do that too. Course mine all weigh like 15 - 18 pounds!

Just because they are barn cats does not make them less worthy than any pet and like you I don't understand people with that viewpoint. I'm glad you treat yours well.

Yeah...probably why I've never had cattle. They always look so miserable standing out there with snow and ice all over em. I grew up with horses and had horses till about five years ago. I always made em go in the barn when it was cold and snowing. I don't like to have animals that ya just leave out in the elements no matter what the weather.

Oh yeah...my ole horse Noble wouldn't come in sometimes and he'd just stand out there in the blowing snow and freezing rain all like a fool. The other horses would be looking out the windows like...what the hell Noble! You old fool!

We usually let our horses go out when they wanted, especially if they had a heavy winter coat. We only made them go in the barn if we knew a blizzard was coming. Most of the time, they would rather be outside the barn instead of inside the barn...until dinner time anyway If you put grain in their stall, they would come running

I chose a theme already. I can't help it if others have other ideas

I will appreciate the sentiment behind whatever craziness ensues, that's the important part to me.
