Very simple...

Remove excess stem and any questionable leaves from 2.5 pounds of brussel sprouts.
If the sprouts are rather large, cut in half.
Put in covered 4-quart casserole, adding 1/4 cup water.
Microwave on "high" for 6 minutes.
Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
Microwave on "high" for 6 minutes again.
Remove cover, drain excess water.
Cut 1 pound of bacon into small pieces.
Brown JUST until the edges start to crisp.
Remove roots and about 1 inch of green end from 15-20 green onions.
Slice onions into smallish pieces.
Add onions to the bacon and its grease. Stir well.
When the green pieces of the onions turn dark, remove from heat.
Add sprouts and toss all together.
Yum.


I know that's not standard recipe format.

darn it! i was gonna try this and dragged the sprouts home with me today only to find out green onions are also needed! naturally, all i remembered was the bacon ....................
