That's not in my area Tom, so I can't tell anything. What was the service fee like? Curious.
With Peapod by GIANT, you get A LOT for just a little!
Delivery Fees:
Orders $60.00 - $75.00 $9.95
Orders $75.00 - $100.00 $8.95
Orders over $100.00 $7.95
Minimum order size: $60.00
Does the fee actually go DOWN with larger $$$ orders? (AKA...more tip then)?
lol Fran. $$$ goes fast with that stuff. I heard that the typical almond/beige and whatever is going out. You get black, white, or various types of stainless. So the moral was don't get a beige/almond or you won't get stuff to match it in the future. At least that's what the salespeople said. I know nuh-sink! Nuh-sink! about it really.
OTOH, huge washer dryers on pedestals are all in designer colors and cost 5 times what we used to pay for them...![]()
bear's and atty's menus sounded good but no invite was extended![]()
See the quote in my previous reply - delivery fee runs from $9.95 to $7.95 depending on $$$ of order.
for up to 75 it's 9.95Delivery Fees:
Orders $60.00 - $75.00 $9.95
Orders $75.00 - $100.00 $8.95
Orders over $100.00 $7.95
Minimum order size: $60.00
That's why I asked!
for up to 75 it's 9.95
then for up to 100 it's 8.95
and then for 100 or more it's 7.95.
So they must be counting on tips.... because the fee goes DOWN as you order more groceries! ..... unless you got it backwards. So I was verifying.
Do you want me to select the main course, cook it, cut it up, and feed it to you too....?...
oh wait....forgot who I was talking to....
OK, but you have to cut it up and feed it to yourself...
Use with whiskey glazed beef pinwheel rollups.....
P.S. and EDIT:
Morning Fran!
Didn't realize it was store-sponsored. Makes sense though. I can't tell because it wants a zip code and then just says "not in your area" so I don't get much more info....
Makes sense I guess.... more stuffis = more profit for store. Fee basically covers gas for delivery. Fills some bagger's free time during slow hours (don't know how they schedule the delivery either).
Doesn't matter though. 1) Not in my area. 2) I like to pick stuff out by sight...AKA..."what looks good today?" so never-mind. Could have used it when my care was broke though.
Good to see ya ((((Jag))))
Happy St. Patty's Day to you too JAG.
atty, i imagine the store can lower delivery fees as their profit margins on the orders go up. and it would be good to know if the drivers receive a regular wage or are dependent on tips, like waitresses!
~~~~~ @ the flying jagman, lol!
bear, i guess you're right - i'm stuck fixing my own supper
frannie - hibi can no longer take the co-op live. once she submits her opening thread it'll go through moderation. we won't see her thread until either classy or j0ker ok it and make it public .......... sigh
