I've seen it...

This is one of the most disturbing things happening here. I'm not going to get involved Atty--those 25-watters are as vicious as the ProVari fanbois. I just hope that True Talbot is not conducting another study on dangers of e-smoking. And I pray no one gets hurt. I was just posting in thread where a newb put a homemade 0.6Ω atty on his eGo and couldn't figure out why his battery had died.

So there.

And...you typo'ed. It's Prue, not True... lol. Funny. Don't you have to put an "un-" in front of it???? ;)

Yeah. It's scary. Look at the vids in this thread:

Oops... :p

The scaryiest part isn't even device going boom. It's the nic OD threat gets real.....

I don't believe for one second in those claims that they are getting so much more nic than others do. It's all BS, if you ask me.

Darwin awards, Atty. I couldn't care less.

Why don't they just hook their .1Ω atties to their car batteries? That should be fun! Who needs nic?

Yeah, but think of it this way....

4 coils = 4 e-cigs at the same time = more nic even it it's 1:1 (and it probably isn't). I know that when I went from 3.7 to 5.0 V I got better vaporization and cut down my vaping. So better vaporization (finer or more volume per cubic cm) = more nic.

Same with CE3's vs some other cartos. I went though juice faster. And got more buzzed if I didn't watch out. So....

I understand that Atty. But I'm not in it to get buzzed. I just want to happily puff on my safe PV. :) If I want more nic, I can use higher concentrations and up my wattage to 8.5 watts for a while. Or I could drink a bottle of 45 mg snickerdoodle.

So, the thing is with nic OD, you generally notice it, feel awful and stop vaping, so i am less worried about that in terms of safety, than i am about battery stressors and things that go boom.

Hi y'all :)

Yeah Kat, but you have brains...I was worried about the newbs

CES,
That's what I've always contended too. Hard to OD on nic. However, did you watch the videos? 8 coils. Now when someone (new and stupid) uses std juice in there, and coats their lungs with nic-juice. IDK. Could happen. That's what I mean by "It gets real". Was never worred about it before.

As to the "go boom battery" issue....IDK what to say other than what I've already said...kinda dumb to begin with, but if you know what you are doing it may be OK. Right batteries, right PV, right IQ, right coil.

Who am I to say "don't do this?"..after all...some seem to know what they are doing. It's the newbies I worry about again. And they keep posting this stuff in the new member's section.

Sigh

Can't fix stoopid, Atty.

It's not just high wattage vaping--it's people who recoil $1 evod coils to save money???? People who use wrong chargers to save money. People who use cheap generic no-brand batteries to save money. It never ends.

Sorry I sound so callous but I'm really angry. All those 15-post experts advising 5-post newbies... Laughing at us, vets, when we try to explain the dangers. And I mean literally laughing at us:

Screw them.

I just got back from reading the long thread that you and Kat were posting in Atty- (ETA- the one that Kat just linked) you both said it well there. Especially the difference about being aware of what a nic OD feels like and being able to back down in response (at least people have stopped advising everyone who's struggling with cravings to up their nic to 36-48 mgs).

The issue is with the learning curve- for all of it- nic and batteries and attys. The problem is that so many of us forget what it was like to not know what we know. Or even worse, we don't know what we know and don't know, but think we do (try to parse THAT sentence without enough nicotine) .

The point is in having enough information to be able to make the choice, and to be able to deal with whatever safety issues there are at that level. You don't put brand new skiers on black diamond slopes.

(I didn't watch the vids, i'm not really into watching huge clouds of vapor over and over)

Time for me to head out, meet a friend.

Kudos to both of you (((Atty))) and (((Katya))). Thanks for at least trying to be a voice of reason in the newbie subforum. I gave up long ago (in part because i'm so far behind on the tech, and in part cause i'm not willing to keep trying to shout down those who won't listen and don't read)

And Kudos to you for
A) Using "parse" properly in a sentence (the previous post to what's quoted above)
B) Replying to that thread.
