It was too sweet. I think he may have forgotten an ingredient... like lemon juice. But I did the chicken prep, fresh green beans and a small side of pasta.

what marsala are you using? i found taylor's to pretty much guarantee a decent result

I have zero idea. That was his department. Empty wine bottle in the recycling bin. But there were other ingredients... I see lemon mentioned, but did not taste any.

never came across lemon in a marsala recipe - it basically comes down to the quality of the marsala wine and the mushrooms ....

It has mushrooms...yes? Browned in the butter/flour that the chicken was browned in that in turn thickens the sauce? Many chicken marsala don't have lemon. But they have chicken broth added so the sauce isn't too strong.

yup - that's a basic marsala recipe - i have no use for the prosciutto and chicken broth though. with a good marsala wine you can't go wrong
