Heres an odd question, so I've been vaping 16, 18 and 24mg juices since I started vaping and I just ordered a bottle of 12mg just to see the difference in flavor and TH etc. The flavor is still really good (Mister-E-Liquid Pure Michigan Ice) the TH is a little weaker than I care for but that was already expected because I know the nic level plays a big part in TH but when I vape that juice in my carto tank I'm noticing a much more subtle crackle sound when you fire the battery. When you hear that nice crackle sound from the juice vaporizing on your atty you know its working good. Since this is dulled down quite a bit I'm wondering if it is in fact because of the lower nic level or maybe its just the juice itself or if maybe I have a defective carto in my tank. I have 2 of the Boge F-16 carto tanks vaping at the same voltage (4.0) on 2 fully charged 1000 mah ego twists. One tank has 18mg juice and the other the 12mg. The 18 crackles like crazy and hits like a beast and I've been vaping out of it with the same carto it came with for a month now! whereas the 12 not as much and I just got it 2 days ago. Its not really a concern because I still do get a nice hit (its a little more airy but nice) so im just curiuos what it is that makes that crackle sound. Is it the juice? The nic level? PG/VG content? Or did I get a second tank that obviously isnt working as good as the first one?

I've noticed a huge difference in the sound of the crackle based on the ratio of my juices. With my high pg stuff I get a loud almost electrifying crackling sound but with my vg stuff I get a consistent "ssshhhhh" sound. I get an airer draw with pg juices and a stiffer draw with vg juices.

I worried it was a bad cartomizer but I've tried multiple cartos since then and it's without a doubt the juices.

They're all 18mg btw.

Ps. I use a carto tank.

Agree with the above, ratio. Which can be affected by the nic content carrier I believe. I.e. what is the nic concentrate, pg? If so, then lower nic means even less pg in the final mix.
