Charge your camcorder* batteries, get your creative juices flowing, and flex your funny bone. This is the BIG one!

* NOTE: A video camera is not necessary to participate, e.g., see the video in this post.

Some of the best suppliers in the biz are donating some of the best mods every invented as prizes. [Yes plural.] And not only mods, but also fat batts (you know, those eGO-type thingies). So maybe we should call it Funny Films for Fat Batts contest. But the prizes will also include vaping devices for which no category has yet been named.

Heck, let's just call it:

CyberWolf's and my goal is to have this be the Boston Marathon of video contests, i.e., we hope that the leading vaping video producers and personalities will participate ... and the rest of us. Polished production values are nice, but if your video is funny, it probably will win a prize.

You can use this thread to ask questions if you like. But this post is just the teaser. Although we have already lined up some great prizes, we're still gathering others and ironing out details. We hope to formally announce and launch the contest in about a week.

I don't (unless you count that eye at the top of my computer monitor that keeps staring at me). That's why I wanted this contest – so I could watch other people's videos ... and I could use a few belly laughs.

BTW, you don't necessarily need a video camera to produce a vacuous vaping video. For example, notice swaggtech's video that won NHaler's contest a year or so ago:

Oh this sounds fun...I just figured out how to do the whole video thing and have made a few youtube review videos so I'm excited. I will have to keep an eye on this one

You folks have got me regretting my use of the term "camcorder." We don't care how you do it: digital cam, cell phone cam, webcam, or no cam. Just make us laugh ... in a form that can be viewed on YouTube (and embedded in posts as I did with Swaggtech's).

With the possible exception of FreakyStylie (who seems to be just a watcher like me), you all can participate. Ripple: You could partner with a nerd and put something together. Come up with the concept and have him/her execute it. [Of course, you'd have to have shared custody of the prize.]

Hmmm, my digital camera is kind of old but I will have to see if it can do videos. Just out of curiosity if nothing else. Thanks for the suggestion.

We already have 13 prizes lined up ... and I think we'll get a couple more before we launch on Friday. To give you an idea how great these prizes are: The 13th place prize is a 750 mAh Riva (complete two-battery/two-atomizer kit)! [Riva-510 or Riva-901 you ask? Actually, we'll have both: we'll flip a coin to see which is 12th and which is 13th place.]

Pretty neat, eh? The Riva would be a fine first place prize in many contests. Can you imagine what the top prizes are? Ho boy!

I can give you some hints on a couple others:

11th place is: "Charismatic and positive-thinking they attract not only an abundance of friends and opportunities, but manage to survive life's stormy times with style and good humour."

8th place is: much more dramatic and rapid than evolution

5th place is:​

I sure do hope that the videos which are submitted will be worthy of prizes like these. [Remember: They don't have to be fancy ... just funny.]

8th place is: much more dramatic and rapid than evolution

This makes me think that I should quickly learn how to throw a funny video together! I wonder what it could be????? Sounds like what I think it is, but it might be what I don't think it is, but if it is, or is that "isn't"?, then I don't know what I don't know, y'know?

Not sure I fully understand that last post, however I think I do understand how you came up with your screen name, FreakyStylie.

Revolution is much more dramatic and rapid than evolution, isn't it? At least that is the theory according to Mr. Boge. [That's what I heard from my inside source at a non-analog ciggz company.]

FYI: The guy associated with the theory of the slower phenomenon will not be joining us in the contest. I don't think he is quite ready to come out and play. [If he had been able to join us, it wouldn't be in eighth place.]

LOL, I can tend to be a little confusing at times, especially when I'm trying. But my post was just about as complicated as 8th place seems to be at first. ;^) But, only at first. That is, if it is what I thought it was, which I didn't think I thought it was what it was, or rather, is, until I finally got more of a clue as to what it really was after all, right?
