Ahhhhh... Nice to see that this thread devolved in the predictable and natural way. Bunch of old people whining about the young kids, forgetting that the generations before them whined about them in the very same way. And so the circle continues. (coming from an almost old person.)

Oh so true, LOL!

That sounds pretty good.
:)

Do you have information on oven temperature?

I had to ask her. 275 to 300F, about 15-20 minutes turning halfway through cooking.

Her top tip is to make sure you remove most of the stalk (she called it a rib, she knows more about kale than me) of the leaves before baking.

Y'know, I hafta admit the eleventeen "hipsters" got on my nerves on the once-in-a-while trip I made to my local B&M. But one day...

You ever tried an RDA?
Uh..lol...no.
Here...(and he put his mech mod down in front of me)

You only live once. WTH..let's do it..

He was right. The flavor on his juice was much stronger than mine. The cloud I exhaled was way bigger than anything that EVER lol came out of one of my BCC clearos.

Okay. I hated his flat-brim hat. I'm old-school. But he knew how to build. I didn't.

Damn! God, that's Good! Are those coils hard to build?
Not too bad, he said. Here. I'll show you..

So, nowadays, I still take my BCC clearos out with me to work, shopping, yada. But one of the best parts of my day is coming after crunching numbers for 8.5 hours straight (Work through lunch!) and sitting down with a mech and an RDA with a 0.6 ohm single coil and vaping some 100% VG juice that I don't vape while I'm at work or out of the house. Some of the nicest folks I've talked to here on ECF were the ones who helped me build when I started doing it myself.

That hipster's name is John. Great guy. Sometimes, if you just open your mind a crack, you give someone an opportunity to blow it wide open. I'm done being annoyed with the hipsters. Who else would build a twisted coil for me (free of charge)? And I was 24 once a long time ago, too...

Some people just don't get it but there just trying to always up sell you from your current set up whether they actually say it or the way they go about it is another subject that's the way the shop makes money and most I've been to are that cool and do free builds and guide the customers through a build, granite some know there stuff and some don't, sometimes it pays to get to know the owner and to those who just cant stand the appearance of younger people just order your stuff online then come her and whine about your wicks not wicking ....

I was just getting a little aggravated with all these people bellyaching about the "hipsters", Sparkyy. I never got the impression that any of those sub-ohm guys (never a chick!) were looking down their nose at me because I didn't own an RDA.

And if letting me try his mech got me to spend more money in his shop, hey, that's just smart customer service! I think some people are just bummed they aren't kids anymore.

anyone could elaborate if we could get addicted to something that has no pleasurable/positive effects? i.e. could you get addicted to some substance that only makes you sick without any good (side) effects?

I believe, think, that one could indeed become physiologically addicted to substances with none but negative effects
that one is exposed to without one's willingness. There are many chemicals that effect the biochemistry of the human body
in such a manner as to create a physical and possible psychological dependence.
However, since I can provide no references because I've not actually researched the issue
AND because even if I do research I'm certain my posits wil be challenged
AND whereas such research would have no bearing or pertinence to Vaping and therefore
irrelevant to this forums subject matter..
I would sit on my fingers and bite my tongue, Caramel.

Best Regards, Dude...?

I know better than to argue with an addict who refuses to admit his addiction.
You know, I let this slide a little more than I normally would, but it is just too disturbing for me to let it go.

First of all, I am not addicted to nicotine.
And second of all you just dismissed anything I have to say, no matter how relevant or accurate, by using ANTZ tactics.

If I could have the opportunity to prove to you that I am not addicted to nicotine, I would take you for everything you own.
But who even cares.

Whether or not I am addicted to nicotine doesn't matter one hill of beans when it comes to determining truth.

Unless of course you just want to fall back on decades of indoctrinated propaganda...
And dismiss anything that doesn't agree with that propaganda out of hand.

Go ahead, call me addicted again.
It's a great tactic.

After all, it's been working for decades.

I was at Busch Gardens with my son a couple months ago and there was a group of vapers walking around the park from smoking area to smoking area blowing clouds and being very obnoxious about how they were being forced to vape in the smoking areas. It wasn't the fact that they were or weren't hipsters but that they clearly didn't understand how their behavior has such a negative impact on the vaping community as a whole. Non-smokers don't care and won't ever want to hear about how vapor isn't nearly as harmful as second hand smoke when they have to walk through your obnoxious cloud.

These are the kind of examples that get us older people's blood boiling a bit about 20 somethings. They're full of angst, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but more often than not over exuberance gets in the way of a genuinely good cause.

But we all do our own thing. I get it. I have been vaping for over 3 years. I have read the warnings (on this forum) against cloud chasing. I have drippers. I keep them over an ohm. My neighbor has been vaping almost as long as I am. The only change she made from her original ego/ce4 setup is that she now uses an Evod tank. She is happy. She is curious about my setups, but she is happy with what she has. She is not "doing it wrong." I would not have the nerve to tell her that she is. I have had the snooty types tell me I am! What I have works for me. Makes me happy, keeps me from smoking. I don't care for their .4 ohm dual micro coils! They hurt when I tried them! One guy suggested I take my topper to the local shop for a sub-ohm build. No. I am happy building my 1.5 ohm drippers thank you!

Hipster is a new term for fashion victim. Someone willing to pay high coin to look broke. They shop at "vintage shops" not thrift stores. We had Woodstock, Farm Aid, Lollapalooza, they have Coachella. Our music was fresh and new, their music is old mystery meat thrown in a blender, dumped in a bowl, and nuked in a microwave. I am sooooooo glad I am 40!

No, you're proving your addiction by insisting on your biased point of view.
It's called denial.
I seriously doubt you could take me for anything because you're biased.
That's because you're ADDICTED and not even willing to consider that you just might be wrong.
Your hostility to the truth is abhorrent to an open discussion..
Furthermore your threat that you could take me for everything I own is both hostile and unwarranted
I've not accused you of anything except posting a link to an article on a forum which is dedicated to vaping.
You on the other hand have accused me of using ANTZ tactics when I'm only posting the results
of a long time studying my own addiction.

Moreover, I've already told you I'm not willing to continue this discussion yet you persist.
That is called harassment.
I suggest you CEASE and DESIST.
I don't discuss anything with people who have already made up their minds.

I stated that anybody that vapes nicotine containing juice all the the time or the majority of the time is addicted.
If you fit that description then you are addicted. Since you're raising such a fuss about my post then
I believe that you must fit my description and are therefore addicted to nicotine.

I reiterate one more time, Sir.
I'm not interested in continuing this discussion because I'm not in the habit of banging my head into walls.
You, Sir, are a wall or are have surrounded your self by a wall of willful ignorance and are unwilling to consider anything that you think might threaten
the security of that wall..

If you want to argue with yourself knock yourself out, Sir.
But don't expect me to play this silly game with you.
I have better things to do and intelligent people with whom to discuss issues
who are unbiased and interested in the truth.

Now, I suggest that you read the rules of this forum because you are in violation of said rules by attempting to foment
a flame war with your false accusations and persistence after you have been advised that I'm not interested in continuing this discussion.

Bye now.
