I just got my SW and I am trying to figure out a few things. First I built a ni200 3mm spaced coil for my Lemo II. Set it up for 420F @ 40W. I have MXJO IMR 18650's 2500ma 35A new I am using in this thing. Good?
It's close to what I like hit wise, but not perfect for me yet.
So I put it down last night and did not turn it off. this morning, as soon as I fired it, it was up and running, meaning it never went to sleep or locked. It worked like I was hitting on it normally. Why is this? I thought it should lock. The display does turn off after hitting it (10sec).

Also what is the highest temp I can set without burning cotton?
Are my settings good or not?
Battery ok?
Finally, how do I know it is in TC mode? The watts are changing, so I assume it is in TC.
Hi yours doesn't lock because you have the newer 1.5 chip in ☺ I'm not sure highest temp for cotton but a lot of reviewers seem to be saying around 470f. If you do have newer chip you'll know which mode your in by power mode says "power" on screen temp mode shows you the temp

I've been having a lot of trouble with this issue on my crown tank. I've tried something that seems to be working so far (fingers crossed) it only works with the v1.5 chip tho. You can manually lock resistance with the newer chip, I assumed this was just for temp mode but it also allows you to lock it in power mode. No problems for the last hour or so, which is way longer than its gone before without switching mode. You can tell if you have the newer chip cause when in power mode it will say "power" on the screen. Hope this may help some of you. Manually switching mode as per sig 75w tc would be a much better option IMO. cheers Adam.
Unfortunately my fix didn't last, even when you manually lock resistance if you leave for 10-20 minutes it seems to reset and when you fire, temp mode again. It's a bit disappointing as i bought the device to use with my crown tank as I needed a more powerful device to fire the 0.25 coils

Not sure I understand. You can't lock resistance on the SW. And for the. 25 coil it shouldn't be running in temp mode. You may need to put on a kanthal build to trick it as sometimes it tries to run the SS coils in temp mode.

You can lock resistance if you have the v1.5 chip, and no the 2.5 coil shouldn't be running in temp mode, that's kinda my problem.

I would like to know how. I wasn't aware of this feature. Yes, I have the 1.5 chip. I can't track down my paperwork on the mod so I'm clueless

Ok hold - button and then press the fire button it will then ask is coil cold or hot, click + for cold and it will set resistance. Not sure there's any real benefit to this tho as it auto sets resistance when you put a new atty on anyhoo, I still find mine resets if I don't fire device for 20 mins or so. To be fair on the SW it is designed to be used with nickel or kanthol. All my problems are trying to use the device with crown tank ss coils, am now looking for a decent non ss high wattage sub tank, cheers Adam

Adam - I would recommend using the D2 with the Crown. It is tiny and has ample power to support the Crown SS coils and temp setting is manual so no way for it to get confused. I still use my Snow Wolf, but on my Starre Pro with nickel. BTW - D2 is very inexpensive but high quality. I got mine from Origin Vape.

Cheers pal, I've got a sig 75w tc (manual mode change too) works great with crown tank but being a single battery dies pretty quick at 60-75w. I love my SW though got the Ltd edition with wolf engraved on side looks mega. If it had manual mode change would be perfect. Build quality is best I've seen, absolutely no rattle from door, which I'm pretty sure is a first for a magnetic even my sig drives me crazy with 1 of its doors being a bit clunky. Yes I am that OCD vaper you've heard about lol.

Just watched a few reviews of D2 and it looks pretty cool, can't really justify getting another 75w tc but that's never stopped me before lol.

Yep. Agree. SW is a solid box. Good machining just some quirkiness in the chip. May just be in my head but feels like it delivers more power than other mods at the same wattage.

Yep, I've come across this with all my mods. You'd think 40W would be 40W but get a different vape from them all go figure? Just been switching my freakshow mini with 0.14 nickel coil from sig to SW 470f 40W on each device but completely different. Funnily enough it's the sig that is giving a way more powerful vape?

Just placed an order for the SW v1.5 last night from Element Vape. So excited! Can't wait to get this bad boy!
Enjoy its a top notch mod. Only issue I've had is it can get a bit confused with SS coils. V2 coming out next year looks cool too full colour screen for display, hope they include an option to manually switch temp/power mode would be the perfect mod for me then

Not sure if this is what your talking about but I've noticed today that with freshly charged batteries it fires much stronger (in temp mode at least ) than when battery indicates 3/4 charge. Very strange as I thought a regulated device regulated power output etc :-S
