thanks, this is the thing I want to know about still, the lowest firing resistance on regular kanthal builds.

am torn do I buy the limited edition or buy an IPV D2 and wait for the DNA 200 which will be a long wait. I need some fire power
I know that I saw a video where OhmBoyOC (one of the fancy coil builders) did a dual alien coil and fired it on the snow wolf at 0.08ohm, so I'm thinking the 0.05 limit applies to kanthal as well.

done. I pulled the trigger on this one from vape royalty 119$ :headbang:
You'll be happy! The yihi chip on it is great. I was also weary buying one. The vape shop near me had the new models for like a week and I slept on it for awhile and finally broke and did it, the aesthetics broke me in. I like it more than the DNA 40 mod I have. The only thing is even in the new version the temperature is a bit hotter than the read with fresh batteries. That's it though, and it's in my opinion way more consistent than my vaporshark.

It's not a Yihi chipset in the Snow Wolf.

Anyone else having it try to Temperature control nichrome?
After every wakeup it is always in TC mode and tries it's little heart out to TC the Nichrome, even attempting to guess at the heat(usually 130F-159F at most is what's shown) and does not throttle the watts since it's not up to temp yet.
If I remove the atty, get a few check atomizer messages and go for a few puffs sometimes it goes back to power mode, sometimes it's adamant about being in temp mode.
I've tried raising temp to max, I haven't tried lowering the temp yet to see what it'll do, it would be interesting if after all it managed
to control the temp, which I would assume it could do, it just doesn't know the nichrome's real temp.

I can't blame it, and I thought about taking it back but it's sort of endearing in a way seeing it try it's hardest to reach 450F at 35W
But that it thinks it can't even break 160F

EDIT: Atomizer is Goblin RTA V2(.17 ohm dual coil build)
Other atomizers it had problems TC'ing properly were:
Triton with Atlantis ni200 pre-made coils, occasionally it would scorch the cotton
Ego One Mega tank with ni200 coils, it -did- scorch the cotton black.
Previous ni200 premade coils were attempted to run at 500F at 40-50W

Sounds like you might have a bum mod. First off, you can't do temp control with nichrome. It has to be ni200 or ti. I haven't had any problems using the Snow Wolf with any prebuilt nickel coils. I've used Vaporshark Atlantis coils, nickel Freemax Starre Pro coils, eLeaf nickel coils for the Melo (also works in Atlantis tanks), and the Smokme Subverter nickel coils (also works in Atlantis tanks) and they all work fine.

I know it's not suppose-to and it's likely an error and anything it shows is wildly off, but it still wants to try. I don't quite understand why it's doing it but it is. I'm pretty sure it wasn't doing this when I got it a week or two ago

Is it maybe because I built 0.17 ohms you think? Maybe it thinks since it's so low that it's nickel and that's why it keeps trying

I've been having a similar problem with the SW 200, maybe. I'm using it with the Uwell Crown and a .25 SS coil. When I start it up, it has it in temp mode in that the temperature starts to go up as I press it. Shouldn't it just show a blank next to the "F" if it is in non-temp mode? Or it is because the Crown is using SS and not Kanthal that it is trying to run it in temp mode?
