Snow Wolf/ ipv4s/ ipv3 li/ xcube2?

I have an xcube II and 2x IPV3 Li (and VR edition).

The cube is fun to use with tanks, the bluetooth app imho is useless. Everything you can change on the app you can do on the mod, minus the temperature coefficient. The firing grip is solid and the customizable RGB strip is awesome at first but I find it just adds to the battery drain so I turned it off entirely. The screen on the top makes it dripper unfriendly. The display is sealed, the +/- buttons on the other end are not. I was wiping the screen off constantly when I dripped on it.

The ipv3 li is my go-to box, I take it to work with a Sapor or a Troll on top. Battery life is longer then the xcube at the same watts / usage. The profiles for ni200 and Ti01 are on the latest firmware and can be changed on the mod. The battery door is a solid sliding ballpin held sheet. Its a much more robust design then the cubes magnetic sliding door. I put a blob of hotglue inside the battery sleds on the cube to give it a tighter hold (thanks to this forum for that tip also).

tldr;

IPV3Li wins over the xCube II in my books. I find myself reaching more often for the Li. The only thing I like about to the xCube II over the ipv3li is the firing grip. But then again, I use the touch-button all the time on the ipv as well.

The Tesla 200W TC is another in this class to look at. I'm still search for a high wattage device. I've crossed out both the Snow Wolf and Sigelei because their chips aren't accurate in VW or TC from the tests that are out there (although my immediate concerns are for VW mode). I'm still researching the others on your list and now the Tesla.
Also, there are a bunch of new DNA 200 devices being released now, so I'm going to hold off for a month and see how they stack up in terms of features, styling, value and performance.

Ive been contemplating the same mods. Held all but the Xcube. It intrigues me. I really really want to like the snow wolf. The design is sexy. I love that it can actually use kanthal in TC mode. What concerns me about it is its construction material. Its pretty plasticy. I work in a very unforgiving environment (on a ship). My mods hit the deck from time to time. Its an unavoidable reality for me. I just cant run the risk of buying a mod thats not build like a tank. My IPVs and Sigs and even Smok M80 have passed that drop test time and time again, whereas I dont think the SW could do that.

Ive all but talked myself into an Li. Im really just fielding my options...

I got the IPV3 Li and I love it the touch sensor seemed gimmicky but now I use it all the time - also grabbed a nice silicone sleeve off ebay for like 6 or 7 bucks fits great. Snow wolf looked great and seems okay but it literally looks like an iPhone I haven't dropped yet. IPV4 was a contender but I wanted a little more solid construction. The X Cube II I haven't received yet from the contest that was held here but I have been seeing lots of posts on software malfunctions and juice getting in the screen on top and causing it to break - in the end the LED firing bar is the most appealing part of that device.

After the fiasco of a contest Smok held here at ECF I wouldn't trust that company at all.
They straight up lied.
Extremely unprofessional company, and after what I've seen right here in wouldn't spend a dime with them.
Avoid them at all costs.

Bluetooth app is far from useless on the XCube II, you can ONLY add the TC profiles for Ti and SS through the bluetooth app. The "problem child" for the XCube II is actually the automatic update tool for the firmware. It has a nasty habit of not completely or not deleting the old firmware at all before it installs the new firmware over it, and that is causing issues all over the place, the most common being the new wire profiles not propagating to the XCube II through the bluetooth app. When you use the old updater, this clears up.

Something I can't figure out, juice on the buttons. How in the dickens are you guys getting it that far away from the atty? I can't even get my juice to splash that far, much less actually drip it that far from the atomizer without doing it deliberately.

.

There is so much more functionality to the app than appears. You can set up various "profiles" custom hard/soft modes, the temp coefficient is adjustable on the device. (With latest FW upgrade) I beg to differ with you in the LEDs, while they do consume power it isn't enough to notice a difference. (I run about 16 hrs a day at 70-90 watts throughout with the LEDs in pulsing mode.) yes if you are sloppy or have a leaky dripper it's going to get on the screen. I use the velocity in tc and it works just fine no juice issues on the buttons for sure it's got quite a bit of distance to reach the buttons.
I have had an issue with juice (following gravity) and leak down the side and sneak into the battery door after I over dripped. I will say one "huge" negative about the device is the stupid battery cloth piece that is supposed to help remove the batteries is terribly short and ends up poking the battery door which can sometimes cause the door to not want to close sometimes. But once it's closed it stays shut never had it pop open.

Each device has its pros and cons and I love this smok xcube 2. With it I can Stay up to date with the latest and greatest wires like titanium and ss instead of having to upgrade the unit itself just upgrade the firmware !

Too much to list. It would derail this thread totally.
Check out the contest thread.
Look for a Smok representative.
( there isn't one)
Ask winners if they recieved anything yet.( no one has).
Their US distributor (to ship US winners their gear) didn't stock the device and had no idea about the promotion.

Support from Smok in their own major contest was non existent.

Remember that when you need customer service.

In contrast the Innokin promotion was flawless and a great example of professionalism.
They didn't miss a beat.
The reps are still active members and are around to help.

Some companies are solid.
Some are all Smok and mirrors.
;)

still deciding between xcube and ipv3 li. but im really into the flashy lights on xcube. Utility wise, 200w on ipv3 will last longer.

Eh, I wouldn't make the lights the deciding factor. Still, while yes, 200w is better than 160w, you should ask yourself if you're ever going to USE that much wattage. If you can answer no, go with the Cube. I'm wrapping .03 - .02 dual coils, and still have yet to see more than 60w show up anywhere other than the initial climb to temp when I have the settings on Max.
