I receive requests to do video flavor reviews weekly, but I personally dislike flavor review videos. You can’t show somebody Throat Hit or Flavor and without flavor the size of the vapor cloud the video reviewers blow into the camera lens means nothing. As well I see myself a couple times a day in the mirror and that’s more than enough for me.

Although the juices are new the bottles are the same so there are no changes on that end. The new labels are cool with a noted patriotic type of color theme along with a very prominent V4L logo which I like. As I mentioned in another post the size of the type font is close to a 2, so for us older folks you may need to breakout your pair of reading glasses. I could see this being a problem if both hubby and wifey are Juicers and vape at different mg levels.

I have posted juice reviews in the past and my system is rather standard and simple. All juices are judged on 3 categories Throat Hit, Flavor, and Vapor Production on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest. Then I give a quick summary of my impressions.

I will be using new blank Wow Cartomizers on a freshly charged standard V4L XL Manual Battery as well on a V4L Passthrough. Each bottle will be vigorously shaken and each carto will be filled with a fresh syringe as to not cross the flavors over.

About me:
I am not a big fan of dessert, liquor, or fruit flavors. Of the V4L line-up my favorites in no particular order are: Wow 555, Wowboy, Wow Peppermint, RazzWow, Wow Coffee, Wow Nuport, Premium RY4 and Premium Grape.

Defintions:
Throat Hit: The best way to define throat hit is to look at the world of analogs. An ultra-light smoker might start hacking if they were to smoke a Camel non-filter as they feel their throat start to close and get a little scratchy.

Flavor: Simply judges balance, strength, and truth. It is not a reflection of whether I like it, but whether the advertised flavor description matches what the manufacturer claims which in this case is left open for interpretation. Some flavors are blends with several different flavors coming across your taste buds as you inhale and exhale. Blended flavors can change dramatically between the inhale, exhale, and after taste.

Vapor Production: Self-explanatory

The following flavors are all 18 mg

Aces & 8’s
Throat Hit:........... 5+++
Flavor:................. 5
Vapor:................. 3

Wow…the TH and lung-punch on this flavor are banging and maybe the strongest of the entire V4L line up. The TH reminds me of Wow Cowboy but stronger. I think Morandir touched on this, that the TH is so strong I feel like I am vaping at 36 mg, yet my face isn’t numb. The first thing I taste on the inhale is a mocha chocolate which transcends into a rich cigar taste. For those experience cigar smokers I would compare the tobacco taste to a Garcia Vega after you dipped the .... into a cup of hot chocolate. The exhale seems to play a trick on you as it starts off with a very subtle almost muted mocha chocolate taste, then the cigar flavor really comes through, but it ends on mocha chocolate note. Cigar smokers or ex-cigar smokers looking for a cigar vape will like the very sweet familiar lingering tobacco aftertaste on the lips and tongue at the very end

It’s hard to put my finger on the PG/VG ratios on this one which in most cases can be determined by vapor production or the thickness of the juice. If I had to guess I would say it’s close to an 80/20 since the flavors are so strong, the vapor production is somewhat limited, and it absorbs easily into a Carto. Unlike most flavors, this flavor carries a lingering aroma, so others around you will definitely smell it even after you have stopped vaping it. Zero issues with filling Cartos using an 18 gauge needle for syringe fillers. The juice itself is brown in color similar in color to Ice Tea and should be easy for Carto cleaning.....but I would stay with the same flavored juice for refilling on this one.

There was no noted difference in any of the categories between using the XL battery and the Pass-Through. If there was ever a step-down flavor in the mg rating, this might be the one. Between the flavor and the throat hit I could see myself vaping this at 12mg. For some reason this flavor reminds me of camping and hanging out by the campfire.

If you like or liked Cigars, I think you will like this flavor. (more to follow)

Wowee....I gotta tell ya...I'm gonna have to wait about 30 minutes and cleanse my palate before doing the next one. This is a vape that stays with you after you put the PT or PV down....good luck to anybody chain vaping this flavor. If you are a light tobacco fan, but want to keep a nuclear option around for high-crisis stressful moments this is a winner. Not sure if I could wake and vape this flavor......might have to warm up my pipes with some Wowboy or something first. But I can definitely see myself vaping this while drinking a little cognac or brandy.

Outlaw Apple
Throat Hit: 3.75 - 4
Flavor: 5
Vapor : 3.5

As I mentioned before I am not a fan of many fruit flavors. I find they tend to not be true flavors and seem to carry a kind of perfume/chemical taste to them. When I say true flavor I mean they don’t taste the same on the inhale and the exhale. As well, they always seem just a little off, like somebody giving you a Pepsi, but telling you it's Coke.

Outlaw Apple is an exception to this as my taste buds instantly jumped up to do the happy dance. I’m not sure if there are any Apple aficionados out there but it reminds me of a mix between an Idared Apple and a Sour Green Apple, sweet with just the right amount of tartness. But not overly sweet or overly tart, it strikes just the right balance. Yet when I lick my lips after the exhale I get that sweet Sour Green Apple taste.

I must say, for a fruit flavor this really packs a surprising Throat Hit. Most fruit flavors have a rather mild almost non-existent throat hit but Outlaw Apple isn’t one of those. The stronger Throat Hit is captivating in the sense that I don’t find myself needing to take another draw right away. You really feel like you are vaping something with substance, as such the satisfaction last a couple of minutes between draws.

It has a true flavor on both the inhale and exhale which is something I applaud. The apple after taste is very clean, not like some strong sugary flavored apple syrup. The juice itself is Orange in color, absorbs well into a Carto, again no problem with 18 gauge syringe. As for PG/VG ratios I am going to guess around a 75/25 due to vapor production. Without getting into details there are recipes for increasing or decreasing Vapor Production outside of just PG/VG ratios.

All in all this is delicious and if you are a fan of anything Apple you won’t be disappointed. Again, I can see myself vaping this at 12 mg simply due to the great flavoring and impressive Throat Hit.

Be back in a little while, need to take a vaping break, cleanse my palate before trying the Peacemaker.

Peacemaker- Menthol lovers take note
Throat Hit: 2.5
Flavor: 5
Vapor Production: 4 - 4.25

Upon the first half second you ever inhale Peacemaker your brain says, “Hey it’s Wow Peppermint”. After that initial half second passes you realize this flavor is different in a number of ways. Wow Peppermint has a sweet Candy Cane syrup-like taste with a very light Menthol to it. The flavor starts on the inhale with the Peppermint, half way through the inhale the Menthol kicks in. The 2 blend together for a very clean and cool exhale.....very nice.

Peacemaker is more like popping 3 or 4 Altoids or chewing up a mouth full of Peppermint Lifesavers where the Menthol just reaches out and smacks you upside the head. Mentholers are a funny breed, they love menthol but there are limits because it has to be clean, crisp, and strong enough to actually feel it without going overboard.

If you are not a Mentholer…it’s hard to describe. The closest thing in the V4L line up would be the Menthol you find in Wow Nuport. So if you like Peppermint and you love Menthol, this may just be the perfect vape for you. It seems like the Juicemaster really strived to get the maximum dry Peppermint taste and paired it with the strongest Menthol in a way that neither consumes the other. Chain vapable? You better believe it.

I thought this flavor was great on a battery until I put it on a Pass-Through and discovered it only gets better.

The TH is very light which is surprising for how strong the flavor is. Again, this is a very dry crisp balanced Peppermint taste, not syrup-like. Unlike Wow Peppermint there is no lingering sweet candy like aftertaste in your mouth. It’s really fascinating how you can have a shared base Peppermint flavor that is so vastly different. I hope I catch a sinus cold this winter, this will be the perfect vape!

Vapor Production is very good and I was having fun blowing out thick vape rings…it brought back memories of a past life. As for PG/VG ratios I would guess it is somewhere in the 68/32 ballpark. The Juice itself is clear and absorbs easily. Due to the mellow Throat Hit I will probably stay at 18mg with this one. I would say this is a dedicated Carto flavor for all those Carto washers out there. Of course, you could wash out the Carto and put Wow Peppermint or Wow Nuport in it.

This would be a tough flavor to put in rotation with 4 or 5 different flavors. One would need to take a break for awhile, cleanse their palate thoroughly or their 555/RY4 might taste a little odd. Like the previous 2 flavors you might have issues trying to get away with stealth vaping this flavor unless you work at a Candy Cane factory.

Sounds great! Good review....

But is it really worth the $20+ that you had to pay for it? Will you buy it again?

I didn't pay $20+ for it since I took advantage of the sale. As we all know V4L strives to bring all of us money-saving sales on an almost daily basis. If there is a good-all-the-time 10% off Smilin Promo Code you have to ask yourself what is the regular price. Lots of folks talk about supporting their local merchants or purchasing goods made in the USA. For me, this is where the rubber meets the road so I have no issues with the pricing on the new juices. If you are going to talk the talk, then walk the walk by supporting U.S. based manufacturing. Nothing worse than people wrapping themselves in the flag demanding goods be Made in the USA, but at the last second demanding Made in China prices.

I guess I look at the whole price issue differently since I have saved thousands of dollars using V4L. What more can I say? I love my S.F. Giants, 49ers, and the crew at V4L. I am a true fan and whether it's good times or bad, these 3 entities will always have my support. Like any fan I might have my complaints, question certain moves by management, even be a little upset, but come game day I am in-your-face proud to display my colors and cheer my teams.

Would I purchase any of the 3 flavors I have reviewed so far? Absolutely!

Did you taste any tobacco at all Snow sir on peacemaker?

If it is in there I didn't taste it, I might have to test it every couple of minutes for the next month or so in search of it.

Oh....the sacrifices we make for the good of the family! :p

Going vapeless this morning, going to finish my coffee, brush my teeth again and review No. 7 next.

No. 7
Throat Hit: 5+
Flavor: 4.5
Vapor Production: 3.75 - 4

After reading Plantlvr’s review I get the “toasty” thing along with Morandir’s review noting how the throat hit is provided by the nicotine. No. 7 is intriguing for those that like to guess juice recipes because it definitely shares a lot of the characteristics of Wowboy, Cowboy, and Wow 555. My interpretation of it being “toasty” might be because it has very smooth almost buttery chocolate taste at the beginning of the inhale without a heavy chocolate overtone, which I know makes no sense.

I find this flavor very hard to pin down and the only reason I note chocolate is the fact that the initial draw has that Wowboy character to it. On the other hand it also seems to share that initial buttery taste that you get with Wow 555. Once you get half way into the inhale it takes on a familiar analog peppery tobacco taste which is the nic coming through as Morandir noted about the Throat Hit. It seems like it creeps up on your throat and sinuses in first gear and by the end of the draw that peppery taste has you in 6th gear taching at 7,000 rpms.

So if that is a buttery chocolate I am tasting it combines well in a very subtle fashion slightly overtaking the peppery taste as the tobacco really comes through on the exhale.

I’ve actually had to rotate between the 4 flavors by taking a 1 draw every 10 minutes to try compare and contrast. Similar to an analog, that familiar peppery taste is left lingering on the tip of your tongue, throat, and sinuses well after you stop vaping. The tobacco taste is similar to Cowboy and not muted like Wowboy, it is somewhere in between.

For me what really stands out with this flavor is that familiar analog peppery taste. Those that survived the great 2011 Wowboy and Wow 555 drought, I think your alternative has arrived. If you don’t like the peppery characteristics of analogs this may not be your cup of tea. It made me sneeze a few times tickling my sinuses. I like the flavor, but I gave it a 4.5 on flavor only because I can’t figure it out. It’s a great blend, one that would do well if you put it in rotation with Wowboy and Wow 555. If liking it was a category I would definitely give it a 5.

No. 7 shares the same amber color of Wow 555, absorbs well into a carto, and I would guess the PG/VG ratio is somewhere around 70/30. If anything it might be a little lower on the PG end because it produces more vapor than Wowboy or Wow 555. This is another vape that will get you in trouble attempting to be stealthy. It does leaves a very strong tobacco smell lingering in the air. It does seem the tobacco taste is further enhanced when I put it on the Pass-Through. As for Carto washing, I think you could get away with washing this flavor out of a Cartomizer to use with a different flavor.

Am I happy with this review? Not really because I wish I could pin this down better. The good thing is I’m happily frustrated because I really like the flavor. In any case if you are analog tobacco lover I think you will enjoy this flavor. It will be interesting to read how others interpret and describe this flavor.

This has been both fun and frustrating because I keep wanting to go back and vape all 4 flavors I have reviewed so far. :p

But I also want to knock these reviews out and have to keep cleansing my palate for each new flavor. Everything in the vaping world is dictated by the reaching-for factor. What are you reaching for when you go to grab a cartomizer or a PV? I find myself continually reaching for all four of these flavors.
