Hey guys, first off just let me just apologise for posting a snus question on an electronic cigarette forum. I cant post on snuson and I actually initially found out about snus from some of the veterans here.

Basically i just want to know how bad snus is for your skin and appearance etc. After smoking heavily for 11 years i now look around 35, when i'm only 25. I've read that by quitting smoking your appearance can improve / regenerate but i'd like to know if this is still possible whilst using snus as a nicotine replacement therapy or if its only possible going cold turkey. Is it the carbon monoxide etc. that makes your skin haggard or is it pretty much nicotine as well? Thanks in advance.

No need to apologize. Since this is the new member section, you're allowed to post about anything here. Like someone pointed out there is a whole section here regarding snus where you can read tons of information and several members here vape as well as use snus.

Welcome to the forum!

Thanks a lot for the replies guys. I've actually been a lurker on here for a bit over a year. Started vaping late 2010 with a few Joye 510, ego/riva's and ego Ts before finally settling on a Buzz. I kept od'ing on nicotine though. Eventually sorted myself out with 8mg VG liquids but by that time i'd spent hundreds and hundreds trying out every type liquid. You guys know how it is :) It can get a bit finicky after a while.

Eventually i just settled on using swedish snus (which i also found out about from here). I liked it because you just put it in your mouth and then your done for a while. It literally satisfied everything i was missing internally from smoking. With vaping i tended to keep going until i was sick or feeling weird. I'm not knocking it at all, i still use my ego t every so often, its just not my main alternative anymore.

The provari, darwin and ego t tanks were the latest and greatest last time i was a massive reader here. Has anything drastically changed? Any new pv's i should check out?

Thanks

Yeah, that's the stuff you want to stick with. I don't remember all the details from when I researched snus a while back, but the gist of it is that they use a whole different method of curing the tobacco that doesn't release/produce/activate a lot of the bad chemicals typically found in tobacco products.

As I said, it's been quite awhile, but the consensus at the time was that the American stuff (Camel and Marlboro snus) were probably not cured that way and would be just as dangerous as a plain ol' can of Skoal or Copenhagen.

Now you've got me curious, might have to poke around and see what the current information is.
