In almost all processed food or tobacco in this country, there seems to be a need to secretly poison the consumer: too much salt, aspartame, MSG, TSNAs from fermatation of tobacco (one reason I avoid US snus), you name it.

I have two issues with American snus. #1 is the American desire for EVERYTHING to taste SWEET! Now I know Camel snus uses fake sweetener. I have no issues with fake sweetener. The sodas I drink contain splenda. However, everything does not have to be SWEET in order to taste good. As an example, prior to LD Black, it NEVER would have occurred to me to taste licorice without sugar. LD Black taught me licorice can be INCREDIBLE without sugar. It is as if, in some ways, the sugar or sweet flavor MASKS what licorice really is. However, I don't expect ANY US company to EVER grasp that concept. Julesnus is another perfect example of a flavor we might think should be typically sweet, but is indescribable due to the LACK of sweet. The US palate is so overworked with sweet, I believe in many cases we have forgotten how good not-sweet flavors can be.

My second issue with American snus IS the processing and the fact we've no idea WHAT processing has occurred and no idea of WHAT the ingredients are. The only processed items going into my body presently are sodas and low sodium turkey bacon. I don't want some US frankensnus made with god knows what from Big Tobacco, who have NEVER looked out for their customers anyway. Besides, as far as Camel goes, they can't even make a Turkish cigarette taste right. What in the hell would make me think they could possibly get snus right? They don't even call it snus. They call it SNUS, because it's not snus. I don't expect for Marlboro, Discreet, Triumph or any of the others to be any better for these reasons.

    Somewhere between here and there
Werkit, my first snus was camel frost and after trying that switched exclusively to swedish snus. I hadn't tried any camel in about a year and just out of curiosity I picked up a can and tried it the other day. I don't remember it being as sweet as it is now. It was so sweet that you couldn't even pick up the slightest hint of tobacco. It was just like a very sweet mint candy. I have tried the discreet snus a long time ago and it's not near as bad as the camel. It seemed to me to have a stronger nic content too. I am working from memory though.

If you liked LD black give OR licorice loose a try. It's very similar with a strong licorice flavor. Haven't tried the OR portions

I don't do OR portions, but I luvs me some OR loose. I have been jonesing for some licorice snus bad lately, because it's been so long since I've had that flavor. I am trying not to order though, cuz I got a PHAT pre-PACT stash in the freezer.

I used to like the catch licorice too. I think I still have five cans in my stash some where. I just haven't used any for quite a while. I do like the OR cranberry portions and the coffee vanilla. Only thing with the CV is it seems like it gets slimey after a while.

    Best:
Jakobsson's Icefruit OP - only 2 cans for now, using it for special treats because of the special cooling taste and interesting flavor
Gotland Fläder (green) OP - under my lip now & most often, don´t really know why, just a go-to snus, maybe because it leaks less than the rest and lasts longer (I usuallly spit snus out when it starts to leak)
    General Mini

    Worst:
Oliver Twist Original - the licorice heavy oily throat burning gunk it produces almost immediately is disgusting
Oliver Twist bergamot - the licorice heavy oily throat burning gunk it produces after about an hour under lip is disgusting; but the first hour is OK, as it has no real taste before it starts to leak, and it is much more discreet than snus to put in and discard when working as an interpreter, so I have several cans and use them sporadically for working with people.

My tastes change so much it's really hard to nail it down to just 3 but ,as of right now,
    the daily rotation is:
    Ettan op
    Jakobsson wintergreen
    Offroad lakritis portions
I'll usually keep a can of general mint, roda lacket white and ettan los open in the freezer just to switch things up.

There hasn't been too much snus i've had that i didn't like but out of those:
Jakobsson assfruit is hands down the winner.like used juicy fruit gum and battery acid.Blech.The only snus i've spit out due to the taste.
    Gottland flader.This wasn't bad but , wasn't great either - just meh.
goteborgs rape.once again, not terrible (i think i finished the can) but the more i used, the less i liked it.
