So I have been doing some looking around and have decided to get joye ego for myself and my girlfriend. I guess thats part of the battle but now I have no idea what else I need? sugestions or ideas would be great thank you.

You will for sure need more cartridges and atomizers or cartomizers depending on which you decide to go with. You will also need a decent assortment of different juices with different strengths. I would suggest a pass through if you use your computer a lot. Other than that you should be set.

Hi, and welcome to ECF. The eGo is a good unit and you can't go wrong with it. I'd suggest ordering enough juice to last a couple of weeks. Get a few different flavors and strengths so you can find out what flavors you like and what strength works for you. I wouldn't order too much until you know what you like. Most people use about 2-3 ml/day so figure about 60 to 90 ml for the 2 of you. I'd also order a couple of extra atomizers in case one dies on you. If you're going to use cartridges order a couple boxes of those too, if you want to use cartomizers a box will probably do. Personally I'd order a drip tip too, they're cheap and work great for trying different juices.

I would go to a juice supplier, like FreedomSmokeUSA and buy several small bottles - 3ml or 5ml - of different flavors that you think you might like - the more the better - and, when you find a couple that you like, order 30ml of each for your daily vaping. Selecting a good juice is time consuming, and is generally trial and error. If you are not sure what to try, call David or Pam at FSUSA, and they will be glad to help you out. Their juices are the best, and their service, and customer relations is the best.

A pass thru is a device that's connected to a usb port that replaces the need for a battery by drawing power from the usb port via a cable.
I went through more than 60mL of juice in the first 10 days after I started vaping. I placed orders at two other juice suppliers and discovered their juice was weak, with little to no throat hits. So, then I had to hurry and reorder from my favorite juice supplier and then wait five days to receive that order. Received that order today, so I'm finally getting throat hits (and satisfaction) again.
By the way, my favorite juice supplier sells 120mL bottles for about 75% of the cost of four 30mL bottles, so I'll be ordering 120mL bottles from now on.
My setup is shown below, but I recently ordered two more passthroughs from madvapes.com (the 5V 510 kind), plus a 2amp car adapter and two 2amp wall adapters. I won't be plugging my passthroughs into my computers anymore after I receive that order.

You definitely need some spare atomizers and then a good supply of Juices. The hardest part for me was/is finding the perfect liquid. Order some 3ml-5ml samples from different suppliers. Freedomsmokeusa comes to mind. Vapor station has a 10 pack of samples (you choose the flavor and strength) for $25 plus shipping. But VS ships in these odd glass vials that are a bit cumbersome and messy.
Most other suppliers use plastic squeeze bottles. Much easier to use.

I too will suggest getting drip tips. They're cheap and a great way to quickly try different flavors.

If you decide to go with attys, as opposed to cartomizers, and it you decide to use cartridges with your attys instead of drip tips, I highly recommend that you mod that cartridges because the stock filler in them is awful. Just search for "pyramid teabag mod" and/or "blue foam mod". These are the 2 cartridge mods I've tried and they both work well. There are other cartridge mods as well. Good luck!
I would get like a sampler pack of juice a few smaller bottles to try out. Then get bigger bottles of the stuff you like.
