Ok so I just ordered a eGo mega dual coil cartomizer kit with a Vision Clearomizer V3 (was recommended) from altsmoke.com. Now I haven't gotten my kit yet hopefully it will arrive tomorrow but I have been looking at things I might need to order so I can get the best experience and be able to quit smoking. But there is so many things and weird words I don't understand a bit of it and I want to pull my hair out. So any suggestions/help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have also been looking at juices but there are so many different kinds and places to buy that's overwhelming as well any suggestions?

juice is very personal, as everyone taste different... now what you dont like right away may change as your taste buds heal from the damage of smoking.

as far as what too use, that too is personal. just as smokers we all had our preferred brand and flavor, same goes for vaping. I like hv with high nic and fruity vapes, my wife whom smoked the same brand as me but in menthol and alot less likes low voltage uses no nic and only does menthol.

try out what you get first, then let us know what you liked or disliked and we may be able to better steer you to where you want to be. best of luck on your new voyage

Welcome to the ECF. Virtually any of the vendors you see here on ECF will provide you with decent juice to get started. Start off with 18mg to 24mg if you were a regular to heavy smoker and see how it works for you. Beyond that, all you need to do is charge the batteries, fill your carts and vape. Don't let all the other details scare you, you don't need most of them to get started.

thanks jcwest that's great!

gthompson I had one of the small e cig's the ones that are about the size of a regular cigarette and I hated it. But my mom got the this kit a few weeks ago tried it and loved it she got "killa vanilla" so that is what I ordered with my smaller version I have vanilla and green apple and liked those.

*deleon517* see that's what I am talking about I only understood about 3/4 of what you said lol.

cyberwolf thank you for the welcome and for the advice good to know I don't need most of them. Was just looking for things I might need to make the experience better and give me better luck to quieting

gthompson is MOSTLY correct lol.. Alice is my favorite.. but heathers is my second favorite (im vaping her blueberry muffin today and probably will all night).. as far as your battery as i said.. an ego with a ce3 will be a good starting combo.. I started at 24mg juice and then stepped down to 18 and settled at 12.. for me its a perfect balance of flavor and throat hit.. Ce3 in my opinion also are the cleanest tasting.. fewer dry hits and all that jazz just be sure to fill it properly with a syringe upside down to create the vacuum seal.. and MOST importantly DONT refill it till it is EMPTY .. when you get a dry hit and it is empty just fill it again upside down.. if you try to fill it with juice in the atomizer the liquid in there will be pushed out by the new liquid causing a syphon effect.. the old liquid pulling the new out.. so be patient.. it will be rewarded

Yeah it is pretty confusing. I've been reading this forum and other sites for over a week and finally placed an order for some gear and liquid last night. For liquid I went with a couple of sample packs and a couple of small bottles from Heather whatever. I just stuck to tobacco-type flavors as I'm not into fruity sweet things in products. I can't stand flavored coffees or coffee creamers so I'm guessing I'll be the same with this. I may give it a try at some point just out of curiosity though. I hope what I got is ok.

If you haven't Read this yet, it might help.

As for e-Liquids:

If you don't want 2 dozen seemingly random suggestions, post what type of Flavors you like and if you like a Strong Hit or more of a Mellow Hit.

Well maybe I can help with basics...lol If I am wrong please correct me! And or add to it, I think this might be good for a few.

Clearomizer ( I have seen all of these called Stardust )- Ce2, Ce3, Ce3 rebuildable, Ce4....: They are all the same thing just the next generation.
Ce2- Have short wicks, are non-rebuildable and most complain they crack and break while using harsh juices.
Ce3- Long wick, are non-rebuildable and are said to have had the cracking issue fixed.
Ce3 rebuildable- same as Ce3 but you came replace its part and not have to buy a new one.
Ce4-I have lost track of all of the new generations this one seems to have 6 wicks.

808 and 510...( and other batteries) are the threading size on the battery and tank
EX. a clearomizer with a 510 treading can not screw onto a battery with a 808 threading.

510 batteries: Ego twist, Ego tank, 510XL, 650 Ego....
808 batteries: KR808D....
Just ask we are here to help! There are a lot of them. LOL. I dont know of anyone starting out that was NOT lost! Guys if you could pick up where I left off that would be great!

so far as flavors go don't be afraid to try things that seem wildly unappealing. many of us have discovered that what we think we like and what actually tastes good to vape are two different things.

for example ..i love chocolate but i hate chocolate vape. ditto coconut. i dislike the taste of tobacco but i really enjoy ry4 which is a tobacco flavor. just give it a go and try a bunch of samples of all kinds.

Thank you everybody for the help I greatly appreciate it I got my kit in yesterday I love it except for my clearomizer does not work I filled it just as the instructions said and I get no vapor out of it I emailed altsmoke since they have a 24 hour DOA. I am unsure of my battery type 510 or 808 I am just not really sure lol. I have been looking everywhere at flavors there is so many at so many different sites its hard to choose I like my killa vanilla just wish it had a bit more flavor to it!

And again thank you for all the help

Your clearomizer may not be making good contact with your battery. Check it out & report back. We are here to help you become a successful vaper.

That kinda what I was thinking.

Sometimes when you pull up the Seals or Drip Tip to fill a Cartomizer the First time, It pulls the Center Tube up also.

This Makes the Center Pole of the Battery Lose Contact with the Center Pole of the Carto.

I tried it again and not real sure how to check if it is or isn't making contact with the battery

An Easy check is to screw the Carto onto your Battery.

Then hold it up to the Light and see if there is a Small Gap between the Base of the Carto and the Top of the Battery Connector.

There should be a Small Gap. That means that the Center Pole of the Carto is Making Contact and Bottoming Out with the Center Pole of the Battery.
