Thanks - that was interesting and made a lot of sense. And really, I knew this wasn't my issue - both my husband and I are sure this problem stemmed from the charger. Nothing had changed in the batteries, my clearo's or how I was using them - yet the one charger shorted out when I used it via USB (my whole house smelled like an electrical fire) When I tried to use the other one, within seconds, it was burning hot. Mike picked it up today and smelled it and you can just smell that's it fried. One battery had gotten damaged when the USB incident happened and I guess the other two got affected by whatever happened yesterday - but, just by the smell (and the electrician husband) I swear the issues were the chargers.

But, LOL, right now I'm slightly miserable with the disposable - I can't use the Nuvo because it tastes like old socks and our plans to go to the store in Queens fell apart. We hope to get to Rockaway, NJ (about 30 minutes away) tomorrow, depending on the snow so I can get an ego twist - I do have the vision kit coming from my vapor store and an Ego-T coming from Mt. Baker Vapor - but I need something now. And after this experience, though I don't want to go broke, I don't care if I have 10 batteries.

Yeah, this Mom's getting cranky.....

Editing to add - it's Quantum Vapor that we hope to get to in Rockaway tomorrow. Eric had been emailing me all night - my timing has really been off because normally they will help someone out whenever they can, but they were out of state tonight. But, tomorrow they should be able to help - he's been great though.

The kit you linked to looks like it comes with a wall charger too; good plan I think. I read somewhere about people having problems charging from USBs and having pass-throughs fry on occasion.

dam, i have started same rout. 2 simple usb chargers & 2 batts... Well after two days, seems one charger died.. I thought it was the battery. Used a friends charger & battery works fine. So the KIT i found a corner store... has a nice case =[ Need to get a new charger and stay off analogs.

(brrrr) The UBS thingy plugs into an outlet on the wall charger, which plugs into the wall. I've never used the one that came with my eGo. I'm scared of wall outlets, my mother kind of overdid the "don't stick anything in it" warning when I was little and I got the impression they could attack, which I've never been able to shake. I use one with my mod charger, so I guess I'll force myself to get into the habit of using the eGo one. I'm probably just hesitant because the eGo cable is shorter and I have to get closer to the wall outlet.

I'm sorry that you've had that problem with a charger too. I'm wondering what will happen when I get the upgraded kit and the new charger, if these two ego batteries will charge? Not sure if I want to try it or not but I'm curious.... I'm using a disposable to stay off the analogs until my kit gets here on Tuesday - Tuesday cannot get here fast enough!!

Ok, that's what I thought you meant - I was using the wall charger all along (with usb) - that's all I used until Friday when I tried the usb on my lap top for the first time and it completely fried. My husband is an electrician so I wasn't too concerned about using the wall charger (we do have a kitchen outlet that is right above the counter top so it works well for the e-cig - it's not dangling at all. So, I think what I'm getting in the kit is the same type as I was using - just hopefully better quality!

ps: Having an electrician in the family does make me less cautious, I think, because he's SO cautious - he'd probably still have the baby proof plugs in the outlets if I'd let him (our baby turns 13 next Sunday!) I do understand the fear, though as there are some things with electrical outlets that make me nervous - but I'm lucky that Mike either does it for me, or checks it out for me. I am the last person who ever gets a new light installed when I want it, though....

Sorry in advance, but frustration level is high and I'm trying not to throw in the towel. After starting with 2 kits, for a total of 4 ego-T's and 2 chargers, I am currently down to possibly 1 ego-T and 1 charger. If something happens to this one, I'm sunk.... I had posted about the charger/battery issues but I'm guessing I'm not having common problems. The one question that I'm really hoping to get an answer to is: 2 of my 3 ego-T's are flashing when I press the button to vape, and they won't work. It might work once, then start flashing - and nothing, no vapor at all. One of these batteries was charging for like 7+ hours today before I realized the light was still red. So, though lights are working, my guess is that they are both shot, leaving me with one (which is charging now - leaving me with nothing. ) Does it sound like they are dead? It's confusing because it will work randomly, and the lights work - but I don't know why it's flashing. One of the chargers fried when I used it with my laptop - I don't know if I'm incompetent or what, but I'm going through equipment like crazy...

Anyway, I obviously need to get some new stuff and fast - I don't even care what at this point. Can anyone recommend an online store with fast shipping?

I have a powered USB Hub and plug my devices for recharging into it.

A USB hub is designed to give steady output. The newer ones will push out 1 amp or more.

It's risky to use a computer for charging, they are designed more for data than for charging.

Thank you - that's very sweet! It has really sucked, to be honest - and I guess I've been a bear (more like I normally am when I've tried to quit in the past - because my husband seems to have realized how happy I was vaping and has had it with the cranky me so he is actually driving 40 minutes after work to Quantum Vapor's to pick me up a twist and a usb that they are holding for me. Though I have spinners coming by fedex tomorrow, he knows I'm about at my limit with the disposables (I think you can start with them and move up, but you canNOT go back to them!!) - I am a very, very, very lucky girl with a very good hubby.

So, in about 3 to 4 hours, I should be a happy girl again!

I looked at Quantum Vapor and they have an Ego Twist Tornado 1000mah Version.

That's the good one.

They didn't list the MAH in the Kit but I'd suggest going no lower than 900mah. And buying two to alternate.

The evic is beautiful but it doesn't have a reputation for Durability.
LavaTube is old technology. Replaced by Vamos II and the Zmax.

The Ego Twist tornado 1000 mah is what I ordered, along with the usb charger - and thank you for that info - I won't use the computer again to do that! I already ordered a Vision Spinner kit from My Vapor Store so I didn't order 2 twists right now - but Quantum Vapors have been so helpful they have a loyal customer for life!

LOL....my husband just walked in the door, he charged it on the way home and I am a happy (and lucky) girl!!

And boy, you can really tell the difference between the knockoff and the real deal - I was happy with what I had, but this is so much better. Many lessons learned and a long 48 hours but I made it - thanks to ECF, Quantum Vapor (and MBV and MVS who both got my orders out ASAP). PHEW - time for some Peppermint Taffy!!
