I have found that the difference between exhaling through the nose and mouth is a much different experience than exhaling just through the mouth.
When I smoked cigs, I exhaled only through my mouth, closing off my nose as I breath out the smoke (don't know why I do this, it's just what I always did with cigs). This seems to mute the flavor of the smoke by a large margin. But I find if I exhale through my nose and mouth with cigs, the taste gets offensive very quickly (within hours or days). But every now and then dual exhaling brings a welcoming taste, but only in moderation.
Recently I found this to be the case with ecigs as well. For as long as I have vaped, I have always done both mouth and nose exhale, which I figured gave me the best flavor results. But as a consequence, most, if not all, ejuices get very offensive after a short period of time. Either they are too sweet, start to develop a bitter taste, start tasting burnt, start to taste like caramelized sugar or whatever. And because of that I never found my ADV (or any juice I could vape for very long). But I tried an experiment recently, and that is when vaping I exhale just as I would cigs, through my mouth only.
WOW! What a difference! Even offensive tasting ejuice becomes amazingly tolerable and tasty. I get the sweet inhale taste on my tongue (with a sweet juice), and after I am done exhaling I open up my nose to get the wonderful aftertaste of the ejuice, without it being too overpowering or offensive. But just right, and tastes amazingly complex (or simple, depending on the juice).
So I am curious, what is your perfeerence when exhaling? And have you noticed any worthwhile differences between techniques?
