I smoked Marlboro Red for 41-42 years, pack and a half to 2 packs a day.
Loved it! No way I was quitting.
I laughed at others who gave up at when prices rose.
Lung cancer? That happens to others. I'm bulletproof.
Gotta stand outside to smoke? Just call me Natureboy.
I had (have) lots of trusty Zippos.
When I lived in China, the Chinese nicknamed me Big Chimney...

But, one day last year, I decided that I didn't like the smell and the house paint being yellowed.

So, I got Chantix and did that for 90 days.
On day 91, I wanted, needed, had to have a Marlboro.
I got a pack and lit one. Nearly died, it tasted like crap.
I went to a local vape shop the next day and the owner showed me his 'Vape Bar' and I tried a lot of different flavors. I bought a Vison Spinner and a selection of juice and went on my happy way. Except it was 12 mg juice and I was sucking on that spinner constantly.

I got a SID and an AeroTank after a couple of months. Much better, but still chain vaping. Upped the nic to 18 mg and have been a happy camper since.

The Mod fills in for the Zippos, the AeroTank gives me the Marlboro 'pull', and the juice gives me a completely flavor and of course, the nicotine.

As a bonus, I save money (lots of it), and this winter for the first time in 20 years, I did not have pneumonia.

I ain't going back, even if the Feds try to stop vaping.

About the same time frame for me. I continued to smoke through two tries with Chantix. They did nothing for me except made the cigs taste funny. Took me three months of using both Ecigs and tobacco cigs but got off about three years ago. I think the reason it took a 3 months switch over I was using too low a nic level 6-8mg.

For the most part each day I use about 20-24mg and just cover my urges. I really don't have the ability to do much more. In the evening, I have a tank that I only fill a 1ml with that is 6mg. Nice to sit on the sofa and vape away.

I have flavors with the higher nic for during the day and I flavors for the evening. Requires that I have about 6 tanks so I can rotate without cleaning so much. Works for me.

I am curious... are you trying to wean yourself off the nicotine? Or just going for a substitute delivery method? has anyone had success using e-cigs to wean themselves off nicotine slowly?

I'm using this as a different method of having my nicotine. No real intention of quitting. I like smoking/vaping.
