SO I was asked a new question at the USPS office today.

The FDA does consider it a tobacco product. BUT if you read, not all tobacco products are restricted, only cigarettes and smokeless tobacco.

Cigars are specifically exempt. Loose tobacco and pipe tobacco are not mentioned.

Loose tobacco and cigars are in the new FDA recommendations. Things change and not usually for the better. I posted this so folks could be aware and perhaps get out ahead of it.

My point Vernmonster13 is the question they are asking is out of line. Or if you prefer "overly vague".

Until vape juice is actually covered by a restriction or a required declaration beyond a liquid (and stating how it is secured to prevent leaking) there is no need to answer that question with a "yes".

I didn't have any tobacco products in my package so I had no worries there. My radar is always on high alert these days though and my sniffer is on full wide open for winds of change.

Not for nothing, ejuice isn't something I'd want in contact with my skin. I recently got a package of ejuice from a freind, and one of the bottles broke. The box was soaked, and the post office put the whole package in a plastic bag.

(By the way, my answer to their questions is always, "no.")

But please, friends, make sure any juice you send is tightly capped (had 2 people forget that) and seal them in a zip lock baggie.

There is no need to give them another reason to dislike vaping...

I am always stalking my mail-lady. She was asking what all you could get from FT. Course I said electronics and flavorings. Last order I got from TFA was flavorings so I made up a bunch of spearmint buttermints and left them in the box for her.

USPS may not consider e-cigarettes as a tobacco product now, but I would not be surprised to find out that this is exactly where they are headed with it.

for each state line they cross. thus it is illegal to ship a 5# bale of loose tobacco to a friend a couple states over. found out the hard way myself before i started vaping. that was the most stressful 7#s of tobacco i've ever touched... and i gave away nearly 5#s of it when i started vaping.
