USPS "Shipping Label Created" ... So, why don't they ship the package?

I support a very popular ERP software. And basically here is how it (the software) works.

When you order something off a website, the software will either generate a sales order for the items you have ordered. Then a Pick Sheet is generated for the warehouse. The items are picked and then scanned or invoiced through shipping. A shipping label can then be printed.

At that point the "automation" part is done and then it is either transported to USPS UPS FedEx, etc, or is picked up. Chances are with a smaller operation, the owner is dropping the stuff off at the local post office in his Ford Fusion or pickup truck. So somewhere between the label getting printed and making its way to the USPS clerk, it may have been misplaced. Or you got a lazy vendor. Either way it sucks.
