I go based off what X calls them micro size, 1/16"ish OD (outer diameter). So if you're wraping say 28 awg or thicker around a 1/16" drill bit than that's too big already. I sometimes use a 18 ga needle or music wire. But I also use 16 ga needles too. Size is similar to when I wrap coils using 1mm Ekowool. These coils come in around .08" OD, they work great too as long as they're tightly wound. But they're not true micros, they're what I call minis. :)
Ok, so if I make this Micro coil, will the Provari 2 meter it if it is under 1 OHM? I do have a meter, but not sure where to put the leads to test the coil. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Looking at my tracking, my other two RM2s should be in tomorrow!

I think there is some confusion here... X uses a 1/16 drill bit, and sometime a 16 ga. needle, so that would be ID not OD. some people say they use a toothpick and say it's the same as 1/16 drill bit, it's not. It's more like a 14 ga. needle. I use a 1/16 drill bit with 10 raps of 30 awg and get 1.85 ohm. Maybe someone can give more info on what there doing to get some diff. ohm TY

6 wraps of 30 on a 14ga "green" needle is providing me with an awesome vape. The Kayfun's and DID's haven't seen action in weeks.

You know you can coil that kayfun anyway you want ..... even micro with cotton if you liking that sort of thing.

And if you spring for one of my favorite "anti-tube mods" (Zen Sidewinder) you can keep the kayfun setup as small as a mini 2.1 :)

I'm loving that kayfun set up like that. Its just as small and bulletproof as a REO with no need to squonk .... ever.

I know the pic is a sucky phone pic but you get the idea. Kayfun lite on silver zen
