Where do you get your oxidation? I hear firing pin, and I think of the 510 connection. I don't know that I've gotten oxidation there.
I do get the oxidation on the contact that is being pushed down by the button that makes contact with the + of the battery. This is where I de-ox. I have just applied de-ox there for the first time today, but so far it is running great with a fresh batt.
I also think that this oxidation of the contact could be alleviated to an extent by adding a spring to disconnect the power faster and breaking the connection faster, so there is less arcing. That's a lot easier than it sounds though, because you would be adding extra force and possibly bending of the contact.
I'm guessing the oxidation issue also has something to do with the switching being of the + and not the - like other mechs? I'm an electrician so just trying to figure this all out and maybe do a couple home-made fixes to a great mod. Still waiting for my spring to collapse so I can go buy some fuses and try that out
