I just tried out my kick set to 10 watts in my silver bullet. When using a LR atty I find the throat hit great, but when I switched to one of my SR Joye black attys, I find there is almost no throat hit... Shouldn't it be the same regardless of what atty resistence I'm using? I also noticed my adapter pushed the pit down in my silver bullet, so now I can't use attys without the adpatper, but I hear you can just pry that post up a little bit on the SB. May try that later, but not a big deal as I use a drip shield so the adapter has to stay. Anyway, any idea why I'm not getting the same throat hit when using the joye atty? I thought the idea of the kick was to keep the same wattage regardless of atty resistence? Thanks!

The individual resistance or ohms of each atty will vary especially between a LR and an SR. The Lr is probably 1.5-1.8 ohms and the SR is probably 2.2-2.8 ohm range, on the same battery settings they will indeed be very different. if you have two different atty's of different manufacturers at the same ohms running the same wattage/volts they will probably still be slightly different due to different designs and materals used in construction.

But my question is, shouldn't the kick put out the same watts regardless of the atty resistance? Whether using the lr or the sr is should put out 9 watts (that's what the kick is set to)? The throat hit should be the same either way, regardless of what atty I'm using. I thought this was the idea behind the kick?

From what I hear, there is definitely a difference between the following setups...
--Low resistance with higher voltage
--Higher resistance with lower voltage

Even at the same wattage, there is supposedly a difference, which you seem to be noticing.

I believe it may have to do with the fact that the lower resistance coil will heat up much faster and burn much hotter.
So that will have an effect on the vaporization of the juice.

I wish I could tell you more, but I have never really tried these things.
I'm just telling you what I've read on numerous occasions from the experts here.

Just hang tight though, and wait for some of those experts to show up and chime in.

Like so many electronic devices the kick doesn't seem to do all that well at it's extremes (high or low). Mine (also in a SB) seems to be dead on anywhere between 6 & 9 watts, but at 10 watts there is a marked difference with different resistance atties. Because I vape in the 7-8 watt range, the kick is working well for me.

Need to ask tho', what battery do you have under it?
This is one of those applications where an AW IMR does make a difference.
