It just occured to me. The mods I've got with built in batteries can be kept alive by taking them to an electronics repair place and asking for a replacement battery. May be the labor would cost more than the original mod but if mods aren't available it will be worth doing.

I'm waiting to buy a flashlight with a 510 thread LED head assembly, with variable wattage to adjust the bulb brightness, and temperature control to prevent the LED head from overheating.

What you may see is American design innovation licensed by Chinese companies, then imported back into the American market via stealthy packaging/labeling. I've already seen atomizers on fastech labeled as 'nebulizers'. The US vaping market as of last year was worth 1.7bn USD, someone will find a way to exploit that, it's a simple matter of supply and demand. Look at how prohibition worked out for the US last time.
